Skin care starts with your genes which you cannot do anything about and your diet. Avoid sugar, alcohol, smoking
I don't think there are golden rules but study and pay attention to your system
Drink water and eat stuff with fluid water melon, cucumber daily.
Keep your. Skin clean. Bathe twice daily. important
Use naija sponge change frequently. Wash it with a little bleach or dettol
If possible do not use a towel twice. That is expensive but effective. Towels house bacteria that cause spots
Nigeria is not kind to the skin.
Too hot too stressful.
Use a simple soap that is pure soap with no additive add dettol to your bath water.
Google simple soap
Use E45 or similar cream twice daily It is expensive
OR
Coconut oil /cocoa butter at night. Rub into skin generously.
Skin care takes time and patience but you will get results and people respond pleasantly to you when you look good
Rest,avoid witches

Ok na. You sound like a skin specialist. I will take your advice into account. Thanks.

Sometimes I wonder why all these big multinationals can't do what other smaller companies are doing to survive undecided

See smaller brands like waw, viva, good mama, unik bathing soap, hawaii soap, Eva soap are all cashing out and making huge sales in this bad economy nah him Unilever dey phase out some household products. Nah wa

These big companies should better stop paying all these their staffs fat salaries for doing nothing undecided

They should divert those monies to marketing. They should recruit boys and girls on the street and use them to do aggressive marketing. Can't they learn from the way waw they do street marketing.
Power has changed hands.

Magik detergent has overtaken Omo and Sunlight.
Dettol and other soaps have sent Lux to Waterloo.

Now that we are on this topic, which soap can a dark skin use that will clear blemishes and acne but will not lighten the skin? I have come to realize that it is very difficult for a dark skin to maintain an even and spot free complexion without using a product that lightens the skin.

If you go to the supermarket, you will find soaps that contains pawpaw, kojic acid and other lightening products. Unfortunately, without these lightening agents, your journey to a glowing skin as a dark skinned will be in vain. So, I need inputs on the type of soap which is best for dark skin without bleaching the skin.

Try Dove Beauty Bars. There is the 4-in-1 pack (cheaper) and the 6-in-1 pack.

They can't survive it cos they have too much bottle necks and bags and baggages who are supplus to requirements occupying spaces and earning fat salaries in their various companies . They company shouldn't have stop those brands but needed to have looked internally.

Sometimes most of the senior staffs in charge of those products don't listen or hear directly from the people on the field. They just continue making decisions and doing paper works that is not in tandem with the reality on ground.

Most sales forces are either shutdown or undervalued through compensation or trainings . Some even pick offence with innocent intentions and actions of the sales team.

In some other instances some of those in the office think the sales team are earning more then them and they squeeze out their career path while other small department will have two or more heads .

They should have learnt from other multi nationals the modern ways of sustainability in the harse economy

These people have major competition nowadays and it's so sad that most of these companies giving them ( Unilever and Co) a run for their money have bad safety practices, they don't really keep up to industry standard, hence they seem to have much lower costs of production and can afford to sell their products at a cheaper price.

I have had people that worked in all these other companies as factory workers and their experience is quite terrible, safety is terrible, pay is terrible, staff welfare if terrible too, they do all things the wrong way to cut costs and these are what the big brands like Unilever, nestle and Co cant afford to do.

The quality of these older brands remains constant most times, they might not want to compromise quality as other companies may do, higher price leading to lower sales, losing a major market share to competitors who can sell lower quality at a cheaper price

And people will always go for what is cheaper most times.

Competition is rife in that industry now
Klin was the first detergent to give Omo the first blow in the 90's, the market before then is solely controlled by Omo and elephant.

Elephant Chai I remember that detergent
the detergent battle has been on for long.

Omo, Elephant and then along came Klin, Ariel and sunlight.

Big companies have a huge lots of opex/overheads. Their procurement, finance, marketing and engineering teams are very crafty in ‘thiefry’ 😁😁. Ole ni opolopo won. Enu si ti fe. A lot of them are on this forum and they know the extent of evi.ls they/have perpetrate/perpetrated. They know the ones they are planning now.

They stea.l too in small companies o but the owners are able to curtail some of it.

For those brands at Unilever, they are all old and have passed their decline stages. They are supposed to be dead before now.

The brands would have had a more prolonged life cycle but Nigerians are poor. Very very poor. Over 100 million people cannot afford washing machine. Those that can afford don’t have steady electricity or water to connect to these washing machines. Assuming all these are present, detergent sales would have gone up.

And the wherey marketing departments of these detergents manufacturers don’t know how to collaborate with washing machines brands for advert purposes. This would have revolutionized detergent use, especially among younger generations and families.

Unilever should have sold the brands to other upcoming companies who would feel they could still savage things out of the brands, rather than totally stopping their production.

Ogbeni, no more quality. Klin, Ariel and Omo used to be superb but not anymore. With the upsurge of brands like Waw, Good Mama which are of lower quality but much in quantity, the average Nigerian would rather choose quantity over quality. This has forced those big brands to conform to the trends. They now produce detergent of lower quality which leaves much to be desired.

I wonder if you have this same attitude when it comes to medicines? Interestingly I read a comment a few days ago where someone was complaining that whoever replaced Shoprite isn't doing a good job of it. There's a lot that's VERY wrong in your reasoning here. I don't have the time to unpack it.

Anyhow I wish Nigeria the best. The important thing is this - pay attention to the stated reasons why Unilever is taking these steps. It was the same for airlines, ExxonMobil and Shoprite and Michelin.
And ask yourself what the chances are that there will be a change in policy.

Have a good day.
