Why The Incoming Administration  Should Bring The Likes Of Owen Omogiafo On Board Matters Arising

The elections are over, and governance should be the responsibility of the various electoral winners across the federation; it is one thing to win an election, and quite another to serve the people and fulfill their expectations.

As the results clearly demonstrate, the recently ended presidential elections, which are currently the subject of legal proceedings, were contentious. Tinubu, who was declared the winner, did not do so by a large margin of votes cast; instead, he did so by a narrow margin of just 36.61%.

In reality, each of the three main contenders won in 12 states, demonstrating that the elections were vigorously contested by the major candidates.

After Tinubu's victory, the next phase of politics has begun in earnest with party members, friends, acquaintances, etc. advocating for a variety of political positions to be offered. While many of these positions would be based on merit, some are purely based on Padi-Padi.

The lobbyists will pursue the President-elect in search of favours from Kano to Katsina, London to Paris, Lagos to Abuja, and elsewhere. Several have already used the media to argue why the president elect should appoint their nominees to different juicy positions.

If Tinubu's tenure as governor of Lagos State is comparable to his current triumph as president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, then it is believed that Tinubu will choose the best hands and brains for the job, just as he did when he was governor of Lagos State, to everyone's admiration.

We can recall the roles that Okonjo Iweala, Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina, the super hero Dora Akunyili, etc. played in various democratic governments as core technocrats. It is crucial that as politicians are called upon to serve our fatherland, core professionals who have excelled in their careers and broken down glass ceilings should also be deployed to serve the people.

They never incorporated politics into their work ethics; professionalism and patriotism were instead their guiding principles. Their roles helped Nigerians understand the sacrifices they made for nation building.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should seek the advice of outstanding professionals who have served in noble professions in order to sustain their successful and prosperous careers. Owen Omogiafo is one such person the president-elect should aim to get on board to support Nigerians on their journey of renewed hope.

According to Wikipedia, Owen Diana Omogiafo (née Elaiho) is a Nigerian corporate leader and strategist. She was born on May 28, 1980.

She serves as the President and Group CEO of Transnational Company of Nigeria (Transcorp), a multinational conglomerate with major stakes in the oil and gas, hospitality, and power industries.

Today she is among the most influential women in the world, as well as one of Africa's top female CEOs. She was the youngest CEO on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, as well as the youngest and first female CEO of Transcorp Plc.

She is a Harvard-trained executive, a Prosci Institute accredited Change Manager, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in the United Kingdom.

A simple Google search would dispel any doubts about her competence, patriotism, passion, and dedication to serve the country faithfully.

Her inclusion would not only benefit Tinubu's administration due to her age, which puts her in her 40s, but it would also provide the administration with strong credibility and a sense of purpose to serve Nigerians as he promised during his campaigns.

Aside from being a distinguished female executive, Nigeria would benefit from her international exposure.

Doing things right is not rocket science; Nigeria lacks proper and supervised implementation on the side of the government, and only tested and dependable hands who have brought sanity and sustained progress in their field of competence can turn the situation around for the better.

While the president is free to nominate anybody he chooses, we think that the only small part we can play is to draw attention to industrious Nigerians who prioritise the needs of their country wherever they are, and Owen Omogiafo is a proud African woman who has blazed a trail in this regard.

According to one of her favorite quotes“…Our nation can be transformed when we all contribute our quota to its development.” Owen Omogiafo possesses the finesse, tenacity, strength of character, and devotion to see that things are successful.

We pray that the incoming administration will be a blessing to Nigerians and that God will give them the strength to live up to the aspirations of the nation's over 200 million citizens, as there is no other course for our nation to take but to rise to its former glory.

God bless us all.

Is Owen Omogiafo also a con man?

Nigeria's government departments and institutions shall be filled up with CON MEN and WOMEN with Nigeria's number one con man as president of Nigeria.

That's why Nigeria's voters rejected APC in the last presidential election. Apc which made Nigeria become a country harboring the largest number of poor and hungry people, as well as one of the most terrorised countries on earth.

No one needs to tell Tinubu what to do. He knows already. Obasanjo even commended his administration during the time as leaders in '99 - '07.
He'll appoint the best hands, that's one of his acumen. Give it to him!

In fact, he can appoint Obi as the grand master national liar ambassador, as he outdoes anyone, even Lai Muhammed, in the aspect of lies.

Dupe Olusola is the CEO of the transcorp this woman is a member of, you're not recommending her, but probably because this woman has the same Edo indigeneity as you, they should select her abi? Selfishness!

Only record-proven hands we want!

The lady actually asked Tinubu, Atiku and Obi (during the NESG chat with the presidential aspirants) about their plans to involve the female folks in governance. She was clear enough that she isn't talking about P.A or advisers. I hope she is allowed to contribute her knowledge and experience towards the growth of the country, whether in government or not.
