Arch is complex, so why not try KDE Plasma (Kubuntu), been running Linux for 6 years as my primary choice of OS, I only use windows to edit videos. 2 Likes |

Failure2019: I can already see some of the issues you had with your installation. First, you went to Arch as a noob. Arch is made for the gods and you my friend, you are the noob of noobs. Second, you obviously dont follow install instructions to the latter. You just click next next next… Third, you dont have all drivers installed. You possibly are also mashing up different versions Fourth, you did not research the hardware you have. If you have dedicated GPU, then you must follow explicit instructions on how to get the right drivers. So, go back, start afresh (dont go arch) and come back afterwards. PS: i run Ubuntu 22.10, Windows 11 Pro and Mac OS Ventura and i am usually docked on Ubuntu. 3 Likes |

Failure2019: Windows and mac were designed to be easy installs for serious noobs. Many users of windows ot mac will never open a terminal window till they die. If you cannot find your way around in a terminal, you might have some issues with linux 1 Like |

You claim to be a Kernel engineer, but you can't troubleshoot and fix these issues? Heck, some of them aren't issues to begin with 1 Like |

Failure2019: Linux is unlike your regular OS. What exactly do you need it for? Think of it as the skeletal OS without the “muscles”, “organs” or “blood”. It is just BASIC. You get it? Also, try to read the documentation of your preferred Linux distro before installing. |
