However, Maryam Apaokagi, or Taooma, a well-known Nigerian comedian, keeps improving and creating funny routines, especially about the comical parenting habits of Nigerian women.

With a total of 22.2M views, 28 skits, 2.6M likes, and 117.5k comments in the first quarter of 2023, she became the skit creator in Nigeria with the most followers on Instagram.

This is supported by a quarterly study on the entertainment industry's skit-making sector that a digital analytics company, Dataleum, published on Wednesday.

The comedian Kiekie, aka Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, follows Taooma. A total of 29 skits she posted in the first quarter of 2023 garnered a sum of 21.4 million views, 2.5 million likes, and 81.5 thousand comments for her.

Throughout the Q1 in 2023, Nigerian actress, Bimbo Ademoye, gained 15.9M views, with 22 skits posted, along with 70.2k comments and 1.9M likes.

Others in the top five include Phoebe with 9.7M views, 984k likes, and 50 comments with a total of 45 skits then followed by Ashmusy with 7.2M views, 607.1k likes, 26k comments, and 12 skits.
