Yeye Awolowo, Ooni Set To Host Pan Yoruba Conference

The maiden pan Yoruba National Conference is set to hold on Thursday 6 October, 2011 at the Efunyela Hall at the home of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo in Ikenne, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The event, which is expected to be attended by all Yoruba sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora, will be hosted by the matriarch of the Awolowo Family and Yeye Oodua Chief (Mrs) HID Awolowo and Oba Okunade Sijuade Olubuse II the Ooni of Ife.

According to a statement signed by Senator Anthony Adefuye, the event is an avenue to address the various problems plaguing the Yoruba nation.
According to the statement: “Eminent and concerned Yoruba have in recent times, felt increasingly disturbed and uncomfortable with the continued relegation and down-positioning of the Yoruba in the governance of this country and their seclusion from power and authority within the central, as well as the Federal Government of the Federation”.

“It has also been duly observed for example, that among such relevant, eminent positions and notable appointments, Yoruba have been unfortunately, ominously or clerverly sidelined and excluded,” the statement added.

Did they put electronic band on his leg?. Tinubi is not on leash and is free to attend any party as long as it is not outside the country.

This conference is very important. They should look into all the disgraceful acts in the South west. Such as Oba r.aping corpers, Oba beating wife in public and all the flood ravaging the south west.

OP normally brings the kill for his/her herd or pride to feast on,the herd normally do not fail to come in and finish up the job as you have already seen so far.
There is another thread (beauty of SW women)  either in the culture or sectarian section set up by this same person ultimately for the same reason, ethnic baiting.

Which pocket?. Did you contribute any money for them or have they asked for your contribution before?. It's not as if they have the key to our oil wells lest you claim they are sharing government money.

Report that to EFCC. Yoruba council of elders or Oodua has nothing to do with that.

I really look forward to this conference. There is something wrong in this region. Even in education that they usually dominate, they have dropped down in pecking order and cabu-cabu is in the increase.
This conference is timely.

The above nonsense is very irrelevant to the thread.
Focus on what the conference should address or get back to the jungle, lil boy.

So check the bolded, the conference is self-serving, with focus on avarice. No value -added.
