RMK is loved in Kano and jigawa and some part of kaduna
Wamakko is loved in sokoto, jigawa and some parts of katsina, the only different between the two is hype
rmk is more vocal and has busybody, unlike wamakko, who is quiet and reserved, had it been he's vocal and a busybody like RMK, he would of been the heir to Buhari

But just as you said, RMK will end up inheriting those votes for that reason

Nothing trends forever. Sooner or later, most of these followers would be enlightened enough to know that most politicians are not there to serve their interests. This will forever bury cult followership. Buhari is indeed very fortunate to have emerged in the era of blind followership. This will never be the case in the nearest future.

Blind followership will lose steam as people become more enlightened. Do you think otherwise?

With Buhari gone, the closest politician with a cult following like Buhari is Peter Obi.

He got over six million bankable votes

This is the major reason BAT has chosen to keep him close to his govt. In the core north, the optics of RMK being together with BAT will stabilize the latters govt in its entire duration. Also, expect RMK to nominate 2 or 3 ministers.

That said, i think RMKs major disadvantage is that he is more restless, less shrewd and a bit impatient than both PMB and Wamakko.

Leaders come and go. Blind followership will always evolve from one generational leader to the other. In the east, it was zik, then ikemba, nnamdi kanu, and now Peter Obi. It has nothing to do with education. It is just a direct cocktail of ideology and fanaticsm.

In Pakistan, if not for the timely release of imran kahn from custody, the whole of 🇵🇰 would have been burnt down because of the angst of his blind followership.

The caveat is one wrong pacifist move obi will make and he will be treated with the derision zik suffered from the same core of his followers till his death.

The igbos arent particularly a very patient and forgiving breed like the north.

Kwankwaso is all noise, no content and Abba's tenure will most likely show that.

No he got the christian votes. Those votes are not bankable and that explained why he couldn’t secure state governorship and senate/rep candidate much.

During Buhari glory days of CPC, he won more governorship slot for CPC than what Obi did in 2023 and yet still got his constant 12 million vote.

With your popular Buhari was, if he run against a Christian-christian candidate and run a religious campaign like Obi did, no mortal can defeat him in any presidential election in Nigeria.

Lol we both know he ran a religious campaign. Even Obi can’t deny it anymore and what his disciple are saying now is that it was because of Tinubu Muslim-Muslim.

Check his votes in the North, they are 99% from Christian stronghold, you don’t need any other evidence than that. His message sold well to the Northern christian and they caught the wind, but unfortunately for Obi, the Northern Christians don’t have the numbers.

I don't think Obi's followership is primarily attributed to blind followership. Yes, leaders would come and go but blind following will gradually wear away with time. As people become more informed, they would begin to form opinion based on the information at their disposal. Change is the only constant thing.
