From my journeys and observations, I just realised all over the cities and towns in the country, prostitution and hookup culture is very much on the rise especially among teenage girls and those in the age, 20 to 25. The only part of the country that still seemed not very much affected is the far north, probably because of the lower western educational levels, coupled with sharia laws in those states.
After making more research, it occurred to me that driving force for this astronomical increase in hookup culture among ladies is nothing but the high level of poverty and lack of good parental upbringing. Many parents and guardians have now neglected their parental roles, they only care about pitting food on the tables and not anymore about proper moral upbringing again. Çhildren are left on their own to do as they please

The only flourishing female sector.

Most of our number of men and women in every state do so because they need money and have no other way to earn it. These women need money for food and shelter, to support their children and families, to pay debts, or to buy drugs etc...

If men are not patronizing them they won't see it as a means to an end.

It's a game of supply and demand

Let me expand on your point a bit

For a man, he has two options: Get a steady girlfriend (A) or find a girl to hookup with(B)

There are four metrics to measure the desirability of an offer in life and in business:
- Dream outcome
-Possibility of getting the dream outcome
- Time delay
- effort and sacrifice

A and B can give him sex (dream outcome)

The possibility of getting sex from option A is harder than option B

Sex from option A is dependent on her mood and he may not get it every time he asks for it (time delay)
Sex from option B is instant and guaranteed as long as he pays her for the service

The effort and sacrifice needed to get sex from a girlfriend is at the minimum of 30 mins and at maximum could be months
The effort and sacrifice needed to convince a hookup girl to have sex is zero

On a value offering scale, getting a steady girlfriend (A) ticks 1/4 boxes that make a service valuable
On a value offering scale, going for hookup girls (B) ticks 4/4 boxes that make a service valuable

In summary, hookup cannot end because men value a service that is cheap and gives instant value

Hookup is not good but it will never end unless we can change our culture to one in which men marry at a young age to girls and the women are submissive to them as it was during the era before we adopted modern cultural practices.
