Nothing. LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE GOD Those are simply two different abbreviations for exactly the same thing. B.C. stands for ‘Before Christ’, and it SPECIFICALLY a Christian reference. B.C.E. stands for ‘Before the COMMON ERA’, and is religion-neutral. For dates during the current ‘common era’, the Christian referent is ‘Year of the Lord’ (AD, Anno Domini). The religion-neutral referent is C.E. : Common Era There is otherwise no difference. Date values (numbers) do not change. The year 1066 AD and the year 1066 CE are the same year, and the year 753 BC and 753 BCE are the same year. This is 2022, whether you refer to it as ‘AD’ or as ‘CE’. So you see. Nothing actually. 1 Like
