A king has his domain. An indigenous Yoruba is meant to observe all those traditions, including how he is greeted. However, you cannot expect other tribes outside Yoruba land to behave the same way. They can show him respect but not to the level of the Yorubas, because they are not Yorubas and thus are not his subjects in any way.

An exception might be if they were in his palace and there is such a rule like that. To honour the custom, they can do that.
