who goes to deposit such huge amount of cash, in a bank, at closing hours....? just counting that huge amount of money would last at least an hour!

any man who walks around with $11M in cash (in such above yeye looking car with no police escort), deserves anything he gets from armed robbers because he is the biggest HE-diot in town!

It was most likely an inside job because there is no reason why robbers would expect a person to be carrying such a large amount of cash in an ordinary looking car like this undecided

The arm rubber were four men gang too they wore black clothes with marsk too and their operation wasn't last more than two minutes to. They removed the victims car key s that he wouldn't trace them . You won't believe it or was just like film I habe not seen that before face to face . It was carried out while the students that were coming from school were watching them the other mottories and the kada driver too were watching it . Their car wasn't as that speed off that can arose suspicious.. it as during the Naira redesign period the victims was coming from bank with newly naira note.

how many times have police escorts actually prevented robberies?

was apostle Suleiman not lucky to have survived an ambush even with police escort that lost their lives?

for the cash, if the bank staff were still in the bank as at the time the man arrived with his money, it is not out of practice for the cash to be received after banking hours. the cash will be kept for him until the following day before it will be confirmed and counted.

but I sincerely doubt if it was $11m. were aboki wan see $11m

Armed robbery will keep increasing in the south west because the guns emilokan people distributed to the armed robbers to harrass and intimidate igbos during the election were not retrieved after the election. They grabbed the guns and ran away as instructed.

For real?
A billion times for real like real. If the man they stole his money pays for the subscription, and those guys are not caught, call me bastard. Nigeria's secret security service have acquired those techs since Chibok girls under Jonathan, they improved like x500 under Buhari, that's why Buhari was assuring Nigeria that insecurity will end not knowing that sentiments will always supercede doing the right thing. Presence of these satellites are in all part of Nigeria but heavy in the North and Southeast.

Islamic sentiments slowed down security action in the North. While "Igbo marginalisation" slowed down that of the southeast. But they still used it in full capacity but only take out major crimes that drew mich attention.

Technology is good. Soon Nigeria will acquire face recognition tech.

It seems some technicalities (money for hand body for ground) were not well spelt out by the said bank staff and the unknown BDC Maigida.

But 11m dolapo no he moimoi for this era o, as the whole money heist played out, insider dey wey run this matter.

How did he get the cash, even Bureau De Change don't keep such cash
Don't mind them, no be only businessman, even carrying 11 million naira in cash is classified as money laundering not talking of dollars, which business will accrue 11 million dollars in a single day even in one week in Nigeria? Politicians are moving the money which they have hidden in the government houses.

This is scary! Could t they have helped him to box the money till the following day of work, and with him keeping the box key.

So robbers now have informants that work in the bank or how does one explain that he only got attacked on his way back from the bank?

dre11:

During his narration, the Abeokuta-based Hausa trader told the police patrol team that he had earlier approached the Oke-Ilewo branch a commercial bank for the purpose of depositing the money, but was turned back on the premise that the banking hours had lapsed.

You think dollars is naira, that money might not even be up to $2m in cash. The said stolen amount is well exaggerated. Even Bureau de change don't carry such amount in cash.

Something is not adding up here. If for any reason you are unable to deposit such ridiculous amounts of cash you can 'box' the money with the bank pending when you can deposit it properly. The bank would not have turned him back with such a loot siting stated reasons.

With such sum, u can contact the manager who can assign a banker to attend to u hence the money stashed in bank volt

Thats over 600million

The story is bull…
Max US dollar deposit per day at the banks is $10,000.

Even after banking hours —say after 4pm, cashiers will help you “box” the cash for the next day. And for regular business man known at the bank… na manager go help am keep the money for vault.

The story no add up…
