Dr. Adetola Salau rejoices with Nigerians on the celebration of the 2023 Democracy Day remembrance.

In a statement she personally signed on Monday June 12th, 2023, Dr. Adetola called on governmental stakeholders at all levels to prioritize national development, promote good governance, ensure the protection of the democratic rights, freedoms of all citizens, to foster a better and more prosperous Nigeria.

She said, "I am delighted to extend heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria on the occasion of 2023 Democracy Day.

"It is indeed a remarkable achievement for Nigeria to have sustained her democracy to this date, amidst the many challenges and difficulties that have confronted the nation on her path to development.

"As we celebrate this special day, we must remember that democracy represents the core pillar of social and political development of any nation, and the sustenance of democracy is critical to national stability, economic growth, and societal harmony."

Dr. Adetola Salau also commends the government, the people of Nigeria, and all democratic institutions, for their steadfastness and commitment to the democratic ideals of equity, justice, and transparency.


"I urge all citizens to continue to work together to deepen the democratic culture and strengthen our institutions of democracy, to advance the social and economic welfare of our people.


"Once again, congratulations to Nigeria on this momentous occasion. We wish you all peace, progress, and prosperity in the years ahead."
