For me this should be the mindset of believers and true christians alike in anything they do in life.

Please note that the major reason why God saved those men in the way that He did had to do with the fact that they had already been approved righteous by Him as a result of their keeping with His Law and statutes even in a foreign land, this even after God had cursed and scattered many in the nation of Israel for their rejection of Him.
