13 Reasons Nigeria Must Not Support Invasion Of Niger Republic - Shehu Sani by ebukajay184: 3:54pm On Aug 01, 2023 |
Former Lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has listed thirteen reasons, Nigerians should not support the invasion of Niger Republic, IGBERETV reports. Recall that the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS led by Nigeria's President Tinubu, on Sunday, issued a seven-day ultimatum to the military in Niger Republic to restore President Muhammed Bazoum to office, after the Commander of the country’s Presidential Guards, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, had on Friday, declared himself the Head of a Transitional Government. Sani wrote on his Twitter handle; "Thirteen reasons Why Nigerians must not support any armed invasion of Niger Republic. https://twitter.com/ShehuSani/status/1685933594504577024?t=GO2KXxsDVz4258yGZegzNQ&s=19 157 Likes 15 Shares

Wagner? When will this joke end. Heaven won't fall if Nigeria invade Niger and remove the illiterate coup plotters. If the overfed buffoon who called himself the leader of the junta wants to become president, he should resign from the army and join a political party. 52 Likes 40 Shares |

No. Leave Agbadeux republic to push their dusty looking ancestor into making catastrophic decisions. We're kuku looking for the slightest opportunity to detach the Niger Delta from this cesspit. Who knows?! Maybe na God wan work in mysterious way so. E fit be say our own liberation won't require a coup or bloody revolution. Be like the Iragbiji ancestor was rigged into Aso rock for the very purpose of helping to divide this contraption. Let him invade Niger, then when the war starts, we'll kuku push for disintegration from the South South here. Make all man go him papa house! 152 Likes 14 Shares |

well said Nigeria has nothing to gain supporting military action in niger when we have mounting problems to solve . For you to make such showing internationally you must be doing it as one united country that has the support and backing of your citizenry. 95 Likes 11 Shares |

Shehu Sani is on point as always,'a man who's house is on fire, dont go around chasing rats',-African proverb. The west want to start another proxy war in Niger and the world has never been this polarised since the second world war. Russia and China are waiting in the wings to join the fun in Niger,we as a nation must be very careful not to be a pawn in the hands of the west. Guinea has already shown solidarity with the Niger coupists and be less assured that both Mali,Burkina faso et al will all bark Niger for obvious reasons. Let Nigeria keep calm, while using the instruments of Ecowas to dialogue. We already have bandits and boko haram at the borders with Niger and with the biting economic crisis, having boots on ground in Niger will be disastrous. Its better Nigeria stays back and be assumed an African giant than to go to war with Niger and all doubts will be cleared, while we come back with a badly battered ego and an unstable sub-region. 87 Likes 12 Shares |

Good points but let's not forget the most important reason "the coup plotters in Niger are Hausa-Fulanis and they are Muslims". Fighting them is like fighting the North which never ends well. 39 Likes 6 Shares |

I wonder what is giving Nigeria the morale to actually try and invade another country. If Nigeria invaded, Russia and the other military governments in West Africa will immediately return the fire in like manner . I say this with strong emphasis on RUSSIA. We saw what they did to Ukraine and how the west abandoned Ukraine. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

Leave them alone. At the end of the day, Niger's got to do what Niger's got to do. And if they want to exchange French bondage for Russian bondage, so be it. Russians are after all very much like the French. ..and the US, and the Chinese. Interested in THEIR interest, not yours. The fun fact is that in five years time, you will soon hear lots of Nigeriens talking on the internet and on radio to BBC et al about how the army is oppressing them well well. And when that day comes, I will laugh and laugh and laugh. We experienced the same thing in Nigeria. We used to say that the Army was coming to clean up shop everytime they took over...then ten years later, our eyes will clear. In 1966, Nzeogwu talked of cleaning up the tenpercenters. 9 years later, the government was cleaning up shop under Murtala...and it was very very dirty. In 1983, Buhari came....and we thought it would be different. Ha ha....it got worse..under Buhari, and co, then.under IBB, and then Abacha. Nigeria should not invade them. Nobody invaded us when we overthrew democratic governments, and in ten years time, we learned our lessons and started crying to be let out of the cage. Of course nobody heard us... If Tinubu sends troops into Niger...the new generation of Nigeriens will not learn what their parents learned in the `1970's and 80's...that army rule does not work, and that the army rule is just civillian rule...with guns and suspension of all your rights. Niger had millitary rule for decades. And it was still broke as it was at the end of it. But no problem, we can always blame the French. If you want change, you get up from your seat and work your ass for it. All those democracies that work in Europe are the result of hundreds of thousands of people who worked and died to get the right for eveyrone to vote. In the UK, about some 100 years ago, not eveyrone had the right to vote. That they do now is the result of people fighting to get the right to vote...and it is not that the system favored them at all atall. Yet all I see here is Nigerians giving up too too easily. They want a nanny that would come and take care of them. They are like the abused woman who is helped to run from her abusive partner's house when he nearly beats her to death...and then they want to go back because 'he love me and give me care.' Well, he almost beat you to death, woman! Anyway, Niger has returned to its abusive husband. I wish them good luck. I can only do so...even though I am being sarcastic 108 Likes 2 Shares |

Tinubu wants to go to war because he gets the backing of the west, does he think he's fighting Biafra? Lol, even common Biafra, Nigeria couldn't defeat alone and now he wants to go to war with a country that is Russia sponsored, lol pathetic old clowns. He think say na that nonsense were them and Biafra do, them run go they get backings because say them wn fight Biafra, if he try that nonsense now, by the time the west are done with Nigeria and Nigerians eh, Ukraine present predicament will be must better than Nigeria. This is another perfect strategy the wests want to use again Nigeria. You go to war, they sponsor you with weapons to keep killing yourselves, while in return they keep embezzling your mineral resources meant for the development of your country. Can't you see Nigeria is a joke. Illegitimate president acting like a kid and some clowns are supporting him. Tinubu knows he's already an international disgrace, that's why he Chickened out and sent CEO of boko Haram to go represent him in Africa summit in Russia. Next coup is Nigeria, except our military are yet to get tired of being a sacrificial lamb to shettima boys. 13 Likes 1 Share |
