Bottles carved out of wood In the shape of local clay pots. They are hollow and will hold liquids. The technique is to cut a piece out of the side to enable one to hollow the interior and then replace it.

Hebrew inscription on the stone throne of Gad in Enugwu Aguleri, Anambra Nigeria - The present  paramount ruler is HRH Eze Chekwuemeka-Eri.

Eri is the direct descendant of Biblical Gad The progenitor of the Igbo race.

Genesis 46:16: And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

i think some of them are quite modern and perhaps influenced by contact with europeans i prefer the older ones which seem more authentic

igbo drums

used both as a musical instrument and as a work of sculpture significant in many ceremonial functions, including dance, rituals, story-telling and communication of messages.

Slit drums, with hollow chambers and long narrow openings that resonate when struck, often take a human or animal form in which the drum becomes the body. The Igbo use both the vertical and the larger horizontal type. We are also showing a tall, skinheaded drum with wonderful relief carving.
