At this point anyway. You are absolutely right.
But Tinubu has potential to become the greatest. Just imagine if diasporeams start clamoring to come home under him!

Stop imagining what will never happen. No one will leave a sane society to cone bach to chaos except you're getting into the political class. I know a man that ran back cuz he couldn't cope with Lagos stress, extortion from lastma e.t.c

Well TINUBU is already greater than anyone in the whole east death or alive

Tinubu can never be like Awolowo. Concentrate on the question. Awolowo was never a Jaguda man. He was a well bread and seasoned political technocrat that worked with civility and progressive mind. Tinubu is a far cry from Awo, quote me any day.

He wants to but can never. In a sane society someone with tinubu background should not even be president. Awolowo uplifted the people. So far Tinubu has only corrupted, brought hardship to everyone

The operative word is "so far". If in time all these his radical, draconian moves actually makes Nigeria a destination country, then he'd be greater than Awolowo.
Don't forget, Awo was never president. PLUS he's one of the past leaders that brought us to this mess. PLUS his famous "starvation is legitimate weapon of war" and £20 policies. PLUS alleged failed coup plotter, who went to jail and ultimately took his own life due to failed coups. PLUS, more tribalist than city boy Tinubu who is also a moslem.
Bottom line, outside Yoruba land, Tinubu can EASILY become greater than Awolowo.

Becoming president in Nigeria doesn't make you great. Look at Buhari

True, but it doesn't hurt either. Hard to be considered the greatest if you've never been C-in-C

See my post below. Add to that the fact that Awo, without any clear explanation how, was mysteriously extremely wealthy!

Don't be so sure. Some of these countries we're running to were in bad shape not too long ago. If a miracle happens with Tinubu, he definitely has to be considered greater than Awolowo

Why didn't he curtail the corruption in lagos? Also when you have a dirty past its easy to be blackmailed. He will want to work but most of the people under him are corruption personified. This will affect him.

A lot of corruption acts are loopholes In the system. Can he block it?

You have a point. That's why I said "miracle".
Then again, Awo also became extremely wealthy, with no clear explanation how!
