How do I use my Blackberry from glo as a modem. I have been subscribing for the monthly BB package of 3 gig, but have not for once succeeded in using up the package before the monthly expiration. I was informed that the BB can be used as a modem. Can anybody help me on how to go about this?

if u want to use ur bb as a modem u will need to pay another subscription. but the is a way u can do it with desktop manager and tethered, it may work

Sorry for now you can not share you BIS with your laptop even if you succeed in using your BB as a modem. Apparently it is a feature that is enabled on the Network Providers side.

As for using your BB as a modem on do this:
1. Download the latest BB Desktop Manager (BBDM) or install from the CD (best you download BBDM 6.1 makes things easier).
2. Install BBDM
3. Connect your BB to the computer and run BBDM (You must connect via USB Cable)
4. In the BBDM, click Tools > Mobile Internet settings
5. In the Profile drop-down list, click Add custom profile. Type a name for the profile.
6. Enter Glo APN settings APN: glosecure/glogwap user name:gprs/wap password: gprs/wap
7. Click OK.
8. In the BBDM, click Tools > Start Mobile Internet.
9. Click Connect.

You cannot use the glo hotspot tether with you bis it will never work, it will connect on edge but it will not work as for 3g it will connect and disconnect is 1secs.
The modem settings will never work on a non-branded BB, I tried this my self on bold 6 but it will work on a branded phone tried it on vodaphone curve 7 and bold 4 currently using curve 7, the good thing about this mode is that it doesn't zap MB or credit like the airtel piece of sh it bis.

All you have to do is connect ur phone to desktop manager and write same settings in ur BB TCP settings for the desktop manager also

I've a similar case too. I've tried the settings on glo network, its not working out

mumu, all of una..... I dey use Blackberry desktop manager connect my blackberry 3g enabled phone as modem and it works perfectly.... furthermore, I fit commot my Glo sim, chuke inside any modem and voila! I just dey browse at maximum speed..... holla me at ibrokings@gmail.com to get the trick...
