Does anybody know of any nice guest houses/hotels in Calabar? A friend of mine is thinking of visiting Calabar next month and would like to know of any hotels which provide good service and nice accomodation? Any info will be much appreciated.    |

sure there are, i studied in UNICAL,graduated in 2004, it depends on how much you have, METROPOLITAN hotel is now i believe fully functional after the renovation works,there are other smaller hotels like MARIAN HOTEL,like i said it depends on how much you got. |

Metropolitan Hotel, during my stay in Calabar was perhaps, the poshest hotel in the city, a reputation it has lived upto, based on what I have read in African travel magazines. However, there is another hotel, owned by a relative of Duke, as I understand. The name is Mirage, and is another popular hotel. Check them out. |
