Thelma furrowed her brows while staring at the whole place strangely; the first thing that caught her attention was the big statue of Mary on the wall. She turned to her mother with a slight frown on her face

“Where is this place?” She inquired, voicing out her thoughts

” A cathedral” Valerie answered with a slight shrug. She did a quick sigh of the cross causing Thelma to scoff loudly. She took a deep breathe trying to relax her nerves and also to stop her from flaring out

“Why…. Why did you bring me here” She asked with gritted teeth

She couldn’t get a reply as a man walked in through one of the numerous doors. His outfit was an indication that he is a priest.

“Father Aaron” Valerie called loudly with a smile

“God bless you ma’am” The supposed father responded

Thelma kept breathing in and out steadily while biting her bottom lips really hard

“I brought my daughter here to be delivered” Valerie blurted out

“Fúck!” Thelma cursed inwardly

” What the hell is this Mom!? Is this what is so important that you had to call me out of the office!!” She yelled causing the both of them to flinch

” Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? Talia will be getting married at the next of this week but you? I’m sure you don’t even have……

“And I don’t remember telling you that I need a partner. Aish, this is pissing me off” Thelma retorted, running her hand through her hair. She averted her gaze to the main door thinking of how to break out

” Children should obey their parents cause that is right. The scripture commanded….

Thelma let out a smirk as a crazy idea came to her mind.

“I have a partner already Mom” She cuts the Priest off with a sly smile

” Huh?”

” And there he is, Honey!!” She called loudly, rushing to a priest who just entered through the main door with his luggage.

“What!!?”

“How profane” Father Aaron muttered

“Blood of Jesus” One of the nuns who just entered said doing a quick cross sign

Just the sight of him makes her drip like crazy. His muscles and abs are enough for her to get wet. The sweat that runs down his jawline as he prays is enough to make her gulp into nothing.

The church bell rang loudly as the priest finished his sermon. Everyone stood up at once, facing the statue of Mary they did a cross sign

“God the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit” Father Aaron said into the mic, the mic helped by making his voice echo loudly.

One after the other, they started leaving the big auditorium. Some remained in the hall praying while some were exchanging pleasantries and at the same time chatting

Among them was Valerie who rushed to Father Aaron as soon as he stepped down from the pulpit.

“Father” She called

“God bless you dear” Father Aaron answered.

Father Aaron is actually an elderly Priest in Daham Cathedral. He is in charge of preaching the sermons every Sunday and also conducting other affairs of the church.

“I really enjoyed the sermon of today, I’ll make sure I bring my daughter by the next Sunday” Valerie said enthusiastically. It’s actually her first time attending the church

“We will be honoured to receive her” Father Aaron replied simply before turning to leave

” Father” Valerie called out again

“Do you also conduct deliverance here?”

“We function with the help of the Almighty dear” Father Aaron answered, his voice was sounding tired.

” Do you also……

” Why don’t you forward whatever questions you have to the nuns around? They’ll do well in providing you answers” He cuts her off this time

” Just this last one, Can you conduct a wedding for my daughter? Once the deliverance is done, I’m sure she’ll find a spouse right?”

Father Aaron took a deep breathe

” God’s willing” He answered tactifully, he didn’t even wait for her to reply him before walking away.

Cindy sprang up from the couch as the reporter was still speaking. Thelma bursted into laughter at her countenance

“Why is your face that way? He’s cute” Thelma teased trying to hold back her laughter.

“Cute my foot, he’s definitely not my spec. I might just puke at the sight of his annoying face, he’s way too proud for my liking” Cindy responded. Cindy is a fast rising singer and also a model. She has also been friends with Thelma since decades.

” He’s hot though” Thelma muttered, her gaze not leaving the television screen which was displaying Chase at that point.

“Should I just link you up? You seem interested in him” Cindy inquired making Thelma turn, the glare she received was alone to make her swallow into nothing.

“I’m not interested” Thelma responded sharply turning back to the television. Her countenance had changed as usual, finding a way to piss Thelma? Just bring up her relationship status.

“Hey!!” They heard a voice from behind causing them to flinch. Even without turning, they already knew who spoke.

“Mom…” Thelma drawled with a surprised look.

Valerie walked swiftly to Thelma pulling her up, she held her both hands while searching her eyes.

“Evening aunt” Cindy greeted but she didn’t get a reply, not like she was expecting a reply though.

“Why aren’t you interested? Just why? Cindy could put in good words for you and you both will make a perfect couple. Your other friends are getting married but you….

“I’m not interested Mom, I’ve told you that countless times” Thelma cuts her off taking her hand from Valerie’s grip.

“Did you perhaps sign a deal with the Almighty that you wouldn’t marry or date anyone? If that’s the case, we can get you delivered. I’m sure even the Almighty will understand” Valerie said pleasingly

” Listen Mom, I’m not ready of stuffs like that. I just want to live my life…..

“Then you should just sign up to be a nun and stop stressing me out!!” Valerie snapped

” Should I just do that?” Thelma asked making Valerie’s eyes popped out of their sockets. Cindy just stood there trying to hold back laughter.

“You wouldn’t dare!!” Valerie literally screamed when she couldn’t help it anymore. Thelma and Cindy bursted into laughter at the same time making Valerie to get more angry

“Hypertension is real Mom” Thelma winked. Valerie removed her slippers hurling it at Thelma who dogged it skillfully.

“You’ll be the end of me” Valerie said in a surprisingly low voice this time. She took a deep breathe making for the stairs

“You gave up already? Huh? I might just reconsider if you push me a little bit more… Mom?” Thelma called out tauntingly

“May the Almighty have mercy on you” Was all Valerie could say.

” Amen” Thelma replied with a slight chuckle.

Some men in suit could be sighted just at the Port, it’s appears like they’ve been waiting for someone or a group of people. One peculiar thing to note was the briefcases with the men at the front.

The breeze blew from all direction of the deserted port. A deserted port is it and it makes it easy for illegal deeds to be carried out.

Two cars drove roughly stopping at the Port. Wasp was the first to get down from the car and he rushed to open the door for the Boss to come out. Galaxy came down next chewing her gum b*tchly, she rested on the car while waiting for the exchange to go on.

Scorpion made his way to the men on suit closely followed by wasp who is his right hand man. He smoked his pipe regally at each step he took. Cold aura enveloped the entire area and the breeze was blowing than ever. Maybe the dèvil himself just arrived.

Wasp threw a bag to the men as he was handed the suitcases. He opened one of them immediately and his gaze came in contact with wrapped white subtances; cocaine to be precised.

Scorpion eyed the goods and with just a glance, he could tell that it was a fake. In a swift, he pulled out a gun from his back pocket. He drove a bullet into the head of one of the men on suits and the man dropped down dear immediately. The rest of the men pulled out their gun and a shooting spree started.

Wasp was shooting cleverly and also dodging at the same time. In no time some lifeless bodies were already on the ground. Galaxy was not doing bad either. Looking for a swift and sharp shooters? She’s is the right person. She handled her gun expertly and she also brought down so men.

In no time, them men were outnumbered and they were all lying on the floor; their blood flowed on the ground mixed with the sand on the floor.

“Take the cash” Scorpiono commanded coldly making his way back to the car and Galaxy followed suite immediately.

Thelma ran her hands through her hair as she stared at the news airing on the television rather uninterestingly. A picture came up, it’s actually the picture of men on suits all lifeless at Incheon airport.

“When will this ever end?” She muttered grabbing the remote, she switched off the television angrily.

A loud groan escaped her lips as her phone rang out loudly; Valerie was calling. She picked up and after a few words, she sprang up from the chair she was sitting on. Grabbing her bag, she made her way out of the office still on the phone call.

Fabian made his way through the lobby swiftly and his secretary, Jake, followed suite reading his schedules for the day in the process.

“Good morning sir!!”

” Morning Boss”

” Morning”

Fabian didn’t bother to answer any of the greetings, he just raised a hand and they all scampered off to their duty posts.

“You have a press conference this morning” Jake reported causing him to furrow his brows.

“A press conference? What are the grounds?”

” The media are questioning the source of your wealth sir in relation to your assets. There are questions on embezzlement of the conglomerate funds and also…

Fabian phone buzzed loudly making Jake paused on his words. Fabian stared at the text and a thin smile slowly appeared on his face.

“Perfect” He mumbled tucking the phone back into his pocket

Thelma rushed into the apartment only to be greeted by the smell of incense. She began coughing as the smell as the smell was so strong. The whole place as dark but she made her way to the switch without much effort.

Her mouth fell open as soon as the lights came on. Her faze landed on her mother on her knees with lots of candles surrounding her. Valerie’s eyes were tightly shut as she kept on rubbing one palm against another.

“Mom!!” Thelma screamed

” Patari!!!” Someone exclaimed jumping right in front of her causing her to flinch. She didn’t even notice the shaman the whole time

“Yes…” Valerie’s response came next causing Thelma to scoff.

“Patari!!! Get delivered this moment” The shaman shouted spraying a designated perfume on her. The perfume came in contact with her eyes making her go blind momentarily. She tried opening her eyes only to be greeted by stings.

“Arrrgh!!!” Thelma shouted

” Yes…. ” Valerie’s response came again
