I want to thank Southeasterners who defied the false propaganda that the place is unsafe, and returned in their droves to celebrate the Xmas and New year festivities. 2024 has opened up with a new wave of insecurity, kidnappings, assassinations, herdsmen attacks and terrorism. We pray for those affected and hope that government can do something to address these insecurity challenges

However, as we can see from the reports coming in, the South East the least affected by the insecurity. With the exception of Imo State, other States in the South Eastvare largely peaceful

Unlike princeoflagosOwerri and many of his SE kith and Kin roaming the internet for bad news from other region, the SS, SW North and Middlebelt do not have time for that.

Just 3 hours ago, the below happened in Ebonyi. While Nigerians were busy watching Angola play Nigeria, some ESN/IPOB were hunting policemen of Ibo extract to kill.

Yes o we thank God and security agents in the SE who made it possible not withstanding the efforts of enemies of ndi Igbo who wants our region to be like Northeast. All the bandits masquerading as freedom fighters should all be neutralized.Every abroad based Yahoo Yahoo freedom fighter should be caught deported to face justice for financing insecurity in ala Igbo.

As much as i agree with you, i think this post is ill-advised as it may make those instigating and engineering attacks in the south-east to restart their evil activities in the region!

If my memory serves me right, the south-east was ranked the safest region in the last two national security reports, and there are some who will not like this as it defeats their aim of trying to engineer a climate of fear and insecurity in the region in order to blame IPOB and Mazi Kanu, and so they can gloat and say ‘Igbo are killing Igbo because they want Biafra’!
