Tgirl4real: Well done folks. More grace to you guys. Just put God first in all you do.

I have a few questions;

1. Is seun involved in anyway?

2. @ r231, why limit the vacancy to a guy? If you intend getting 2 pple, one can actually be a lady. I believe there are things a woman will handle better. And, not just any woman, but a matured one.

3. What admin costs are you referring to? Do you intend to start paying salaries and get an office? Or, do you have a physical office already?

4. Do you plan to run an open ballot for the stakeholders or it's gonna be strictly interest based.
Sorry, if my questions have already been trashed. The thread is long already.

A big thumps up to you guys. I pray God will give you the wisdom to run things adequately. Amen.

If I may add, we requested people to show interest but didn't get much response.

So if I may also ask, will you like to be a part of the organization in any way, that is if you have the time and the interest?
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by Tgirl4real(f): 1:04pm On May 07, 2012
r231:

No

We have 2 ladies working as field workers already (ify & olowotee) and we would need a guy to support them.

We are still deliberating on the admin cost.As for the salaries,we would agree on something when the establishment has fully found its grounds. In regards to getting an office,at the moment we working through Nairaland and our email address till funds are avalaible.

The team(Tehn) has contacted a few members via emails, and we presently have a list of stakeholders which will be published on the thread soon.

Thanks for your input

God bless

If I may ask, why is Seun not involved? I was thinking he should since you are working through NL.and we all have contributed to the growth of NL one way or the other.

Hmmm ... D interest is certainly there. I'm a natural supporter of anything charity, so it will be a delight and a great honour. Not 100% sure of availability. But will think about it.

In the meantime, you could send me areas I could chip in aside financial assistance.

Thanks and welldone.

We still have 2 vacant positions for field officers

the criteria remains:

- Must be able to donate some of their precious time to go out and investigate cases anywhere in Nigeria
- To physically confirm and lead projects; must be in Nigeria, ready to devote time for the exercises
- Must be a regular poster on Nairaland NOT once a week poster
- Member since at least 2007 or have recommendations of at least 2 well known Nairalanders who have been members since 2007
- Preferably Male since we already have 2 Female Field officers

Interested persons should please mail us at nairalandcharity@gmail.com

sorry sis my reply is coming late. At the initial stage it was not easy. I'm doing generally better. I hav been able to expand. I employed someone that was assisting me and thought he will be trustworthy (with money) so that, I can go ahead to open a second branch but he was not so Instead of labouring for another person i had decided to keep my savings for something else which i may need advice later

Save Basit!

Please save a life today. 18 months old Basit Olaniran Aremu has a hole in his heart and needs your help. He needs 3 million naira for an operation to correct the defect. His mother, Kafayat Aremu, is a tailor. His father abandoned them when they discovered that Basit has a heart defect. Basit’s mother resides at Eleyele Lane off Massey Children’s Hospital, Ita-Faaji, Lagos and can be reached on 08023662182. Basit is currently a patient at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). The name of the consultant in charge of Basit’s case is Dr Okoromah (Cardiac Peadiatrician, Ward D3, LUTH). Basit has an account that people can pay into – GTBank 0113977595.

Please help Basit in any way you can. No amount is too small and you can help even if you don’t have money. You can help by creating awareness, so that the message gets to others who can also help. You can help by giving advice; you can help with your prayers.

I run a charity called Random Acts of Kindness ( https://www.nairaland.com/898681/random-acts-kindness-africa-save#11057130 ). At RAK, we usually do not get involved with anything that has to do with cash donations, but we’ve decided to make an exception in Basit’s case because his life is at stake. I encourage you to verify the information above and save a life.
