Bashir Ahmad, a former presidential aide, had weighed in on a comment made by activist and campaigner, Aisha Yesufu concerning crossdressing.

TopNaija understands that the duo had a disagreement over the decision of the Kano State government to place a ban on crossdressing in movies.

Following the ban on movies with contents of cross-dressing and thuggery, the Bring Back Our Girls campaigner, Yesufu slammed the Kano State Government, accusing it of hypocrisy.

The decision of the Kano government caused quite a stir on public opinion about certain films promoting deviant behaviour among youths in the state.

However, Aisha Yesufu, while mentioning a popular crossdresser, Bobrisky, in her reaction, noted that Kano had been the home of crossdressers even before the likes of Bobrisky came to public hearing.

“Cross dressers were all over Kano before Bobrisky was conceived;” she wrote on X.

“Bobrisky still has things to learn from the original ones in Kano who don’t need surgery to transform.

Yeah let’s continue with the hypocrisy and make it a now thing.”

Responding to Yesufu’s comments, Ahmad declared full support for the decision of the Kano State Government, saying, “Even if it has been around for thousands of years, why the anger over Kano State Government’s efforts to address it now?

“Regardless of who is involved, it’s a bad thing and entirely against our religion and culture.

“We fully back Gov. Abba K. Yusuf’s decision to use his authority to eliminate it for the better.”

They are against anything the government does, even when the government does a good thing they are against it.
I think LP and Obiedients got the meaning of opposition wrong.

On a second thought they probably took it literally and choose to stay on the opposite side of any government that is not theirs.

No law gave the executive power to enact laws. If the Kano State government wants to ban crossdressing, send a bill to your state assembly to outlaw it.

As for Aisha, her comment was totally unnecessary. Ahmad was totally right - what's evil is evil. Aisha should know where to oppose and where to keep quiet or applaud.

Aisha should know when to keep mute. Bobrisky is wrong, what he is doing is detrimental to our society. He is exposing our innocent naive kids to the homosexuality culture. He should do it in private. There should be a law against what he is doing. He is constituting nuisance, insulting our sensibilities and engaging in unatural acts. We are a cultural people, let's protect our kids from perversion, no gain in homosexuality, it leads to retrogression and corruption of a society.
