On March 26, 2024, Women in Energy, Oil and Gas (WEOG) Nigeria, held the _Strategic Women in Energy, Oil and Gas Leadership Summit and Awards (Northern Region)_ at the PTDF Towers, Abuja.

The theme of the Summit was *Invest in Women for Accelerated Progress.*

According to the Local Organizing Committee, the Summit was to unite in lending their voices to inspire inclusion in line with the theme of the 2024 International Women's Day.

Dr. Eunice Thomas, a foremost advocate for women's rights and empowerment was a co-discussant at the panelist session. She addressed issues on "The Host Community, Vandalism and Oil Theft Conundrum; A Multidimensional Approach to Solving the Problem".

Dr. Thomas is currently a Non-Executive Director on the NNPCL Board.
