pour sweetened condensed milk in a baking pan and set in oven for 15min on 350 degrees F.
take it out, let it cool and voila.

I think the process for making caramel is the same except you leave it in the oven for just 5 min. leave it in for too long and you get babadudu. grin

I found this out by accident.

i don't think the locally made one is made that way. i tried one not too long ago for nostalgic purposes. i tasted some sandy particles in the candy. still finding it hard to believe it was the same candy i enjoyed as a kid.

It won't taste exactly like the locally made thing. but at least you won't find "sandy particles" in it. cheesy
