I have an s10 plus that's been In android 9 since I first got it.

2 months ago I decided to start using the phone as it'd been idle for over a year.

I updated it to android 12 and not long after, same green line you have, mines just thinner.

Phone never fell.

Thought of replacing screen scares me,

It can't be fixed by software downgrade.. Samsung is doing free screen replacement for customers who are facing the same issues in India.

A simple search on ebay should give you a clue of what the screen's price is.
