Those Governors are the official OR true spokespersons of the South of South states who have endorsed this huge road infrastructure project.
Dave Umahi did say that the Calabar end of the Lagos to Calabar Coastal Highway would start in October 2024. However, I think the construction should also go on at a determined "middle section" corresponding to the Bayelsa OR Delta States axes to speed up the construction and give a sense of inclusion.

AKK Gas pipeline is an NNPC project aimed at supplying Gas to Europe especially Germany as the EU are considering another option beyond Russia their targeted sellers being Nigeria and Algeria since we both have enormous gas in reserve
Though i don't like APC and their mode of governance i support this project 100% as a south southerner. We can't be generating 80% of revenue in Nigeria and be left to suffer underdevelopment. Tinubu, u did well on this.

Why not start the road construction from Calabar to Lagos? That way all the business affected in Lagos now can operate and pay taxes for more years before eventually demolition if need be.
Since the road will presumably be half way in the next fours years, South South will be coerced to vote APC or lose out if Tonubu doesn't win.
What if Tinubu loses the next election?
What if Tinubu wins and turn his attention in another big project that benefits his region leaving the South South hanging?
South South should have insisted the road start from Calabar, that way Tinubu will ensure it gets to his region when completed.
You are missing it, you see that project is a money spinning project for him, a Win Win for 7 parties, himself first, his crony, Umahi and co, Real Estate investors, Manufacturers, Banking Chiefs and Nigerians in general. His plan is to have a PPP and concession with the aim of building Toll Gates so users pay Toll Fees just like that of Lekki. In 20 years they would have made excess money from it beyond your imagination.

When Buhari was building railroad from the North into Niger Republic (this was how far and crazy Buhari went to drive infrastructure development in the North during his tenure), people like Obi and his bingo cult critized him because they are fo-ols. With a single project (the biggest infrastructure project ever in Nigeria btw), Tinubu will open up Lagos to the entire SS states and open up the entire southern states to FDI and economic developments. What a masterpiece!
In place of that single Landmark beach, 100 more will rise.
This is our turn, a second mistake must not be repeated. It's not a fallacy when we say the North are more political savy than the South.

Who cares who you vote for? The people of SS recognizes the economic importance of the project. That's all that matters.

Each stretch will be full functional Lagos - ondo will be usable and functional immediately. Calabar to Uyo will be fully functional. Even VI to lekku will be activated immediately it is completed.
