Unknown Igbo and yoruba actors feature in Hollywood blockbusters all the time. This right here is not news. It would've been news if they had been identifying with their roots like John Boyega or Chiwetel Ejiofor. These ones will not even mention Nigeria in any part of their biography. Stop all this famzing for the sake of tribalism. I'm sure that if they were Igbo, you would never have brought this yeye news to NL.

Nigeria is regressing daily and you're coming here to tell us about by force "Nigerians" who dont even identify as Nigerians.

If you had seen 'Bob Hearts Abishola' a sitcom the lady Olowofoyeku feature in you wouldn't come up with your take that such actors don't familiarize with Njgeria...

Your comment shows you don't know who Folake Olowofoyeku is.

She identifies as a Nigerian. Go and watch "Bob Hearts Abishola" and see her display her Nigerian-Ness.

In fact, there are other Nigerians in the sitcoms.

If not for the inferiority complex eating you up

What brought Igbo into this?

How can you say a woman that can speak Yoruba fluently, bear full Yoruba name and promote Yoruba language and culture in the series she act in is not identifying with her root ?
You are so delusional to the extent you even make bogus claim without evidence and jumped into conclusion with so much ignorance and stupidity.

She even Identify as a full Nigerian actress, you think a Nigerian actress can not achieve that much success but Yoruba are not like you underachievers, Yoruba giants will keep pressing your neck.

Uncle, as in ehn.

I'm so surprised at some of the comments I'm reading.

I have come to realise that many people online know nothing and yet speak with so much authority on what they know nothing of.

Folake that identifies as a Nigerian any day anytime.

I got to know about her in Bob Hearts Abishola.

Even in her interviews, she mentions her Nigerian roots and upbringing.

Even her co-star, the Bob guy (can't remember his real name) spoke highly of Nigerians when he was interviewed.

Don't vilify a whole tribe due to one person's action. Even if it is 99.99% of the tribe, there still remains outliers and exceptions.

There are things we don't need to argue. I advise people that once you try hard to make a point, then you might not have a point.

My sister, try as much as possible avoid negative persons, both online and offline.

A Nigerian, regardless of tribe should know that anyone from the South West that bears all three (first name, middle name and last name/surname) identifies as full Yoruba/Nigerian.

yes we know there are some good ones amongst them but the hatefilled ones make up the majority, and we can see it from there comment here. All they do is insult, abuses and cyber bullying the moment you have a contrary opinion to whatever nonsense they believe and the last election proves that fact and everyone knows it except you just want to pretend.

Folake mentions her Yoruba root from time to time, and her accent sounds majorly Yoruba, watch an episode of Bob hearts Abishola to confirm. And the fact that things aren't okay in Nigeria doesn't mean people shouldn't talk about other issues of life.

You're the only problem I see here.

So, let's assume you're right that the post is meant to be tribalistic... which it is not, because The OP did not allude to them being from any tribe, He said NIGERIANS, so, it must be your inferiority complex that is making you twerk unnecessarily on the post

But let's even assume you're right, don't you think you're giving the poster attention by commenting? Can't you just ignore and Waka Pass?

What you have done successfully is expose your ignorance to the world. Folake Olowofoyeku is so Nigerian, she is the only authentic African actor in the series Bob hearts Abishola. The lady is also the daughter of a prominent Nigerian lawyer, Tunji Olowofoyeku. At 45 she left Nigeria some 20 years ago. So she isn't your cousin Efosa who lived in the US all his life, she spent her first 25 years here in Nigeria before proceeding to the US. She still acts as a Nigerian immigrant in the sitcom that made her popular. Narrow mindedness is inferiority complex in disguise.
