How was he given the throne in the first place? Was it not by dethroning someone else? Now it's his turn. And of course, every leader whether good or bad must have die hard supporters.

APC government dethroned Sanusi based on his critics against Buhari government. So, this Emir should not pretend as if he deserves the throne. He should have declined when he was appointed and insist on the right thing to be done but he didn't. They let their throne to be decided by politicians so they shouldn't complain.

He was meant to be banished immediately. This could lead to a crisis. Banishment first, then reinstatement of the former dethroned emir.

I hope this is managed well otherwise…

When there were 5 nko?

You do have a point, politics will definitely expose our religion and religious leaders as well as the traditional institutions down south.

Abacha started it, and toying with them has already become a game of thrones.

The greatest evil against our traditional institution is the meddling of Politicians. They bastardise it and make it a tool for their selfish use.
What happens, if in another 4 years another governor comes and revert back to the repealed law?
Ganduje caused this. There was no basis for dethroning Sanusi and breaking up of Kano into 5 emirate kingdoms from one that it used to be. He lost the election because of that.

U re very right but i think it's better to maintain d present status quo instead of d 4 newly created emirates. Reason bn dt Rimi did same (according to history) but failed.

Know your history. Your grandfather sells your family land. The new owner allows him to stay on it to help him watch over it. It is no longer your family land despite the fact that you are allowed to stay on it. You are now a tenant not a landlord and stay at the pleasure of your landlord. You are parading yourself as a landlord on land that no longer belongs to you.

The farce with Nigerian traditional institutions is the parading themselves as Kings with a kingdom when if fact their ancestors were conquered and defeated by the British and only retained the title of Kings to fool the locals whereas they became employees of the State.

But for the fact that the British were understaffed and needed them to help administer the locals their ancestors would have been banished like they are banishing Kings and Emirs today.

This is not about political parties but rather personal vendettas. It’s good that this governor is doing the right thing by restoring order to the Emirship.

Nigeria will abolish traditional rulership once it comes to its senses. Many people still do not understand that it is not promoting Nigerian cultures, but rather a tool for politicians to rig elections and embezzle money.

He was to be the emir wen his father died but kwankwaso gave it to his cousin sanusi to avoid Goodluck arresting him.

Do you know how his father inherited the throne?

In my village, the throne was given to a relative because the rightful owner was too young to lead when his father died. But when the son was old enough, he allowed his uncle to continue. But when his uncle died, the son of his uncle took the throne because he was more connected and even threatened the family of the rightful heirs and up till now he's still the king and anyone who talks against him, he fights that person to death.

Do you know the history if Sanusi's line are the true heirs of the throne?

Even in the UK, royal powers has shifted from the rightful heirs either because there was nobody or so to take over from the previous king.

So, in this one, you don't know how it started.

Sanusi father resigned so he lost the quest to the throne

Bola Tinubu is the one doing all these ahead of 2027.

He is the one setting Rivers on fire, Kano, Kaduna. His next stop will be Edo, Plateau and Adamawa.

They call him master strategist, he could be when it comes to Nigeria's dehumanized political game, but that does not make him a good leader. The enormous Lagos treasury he controlled and stole for 23yrs straight gave him the morale and audacity to dare anything in Nigeria's politics.

Even when your mother is being fuc.ked by another man you will still blame it on Tinubu.

Why did Khalifa Sanusi not decline when Kwankwanso personally picked him ahead of Ado Bayero who the kingmakers had picked?

This Kano is unseriouse. Of all the problems Kano people are facing it is a change of Emir he wants to focus on which might consume him and the city. Did the deposed emir offend him? He should have allowed sleeping dogs lie. Kano people are facing enough problem of inflation and not emirship.
