In my own opinion, I think the proper amount of tithe offering shouldn't be the exact 10% of your earnings(compared to the one Abraham did).
Tithes should be the 10% of your income after basic expenses.
EXAMPLE:-
IF MY SALARY IS 150K, MY TITHES SHOULD GO THUS(MONTHLY)...
✓HOUSE RENT (LETS SAY 10K)
✓FEEDINGS (LETS SAY 35K)
✓TRANSPORTATION(LETS SAY 15K)
✓BILLS LIKE NEPA, AIRTIME, DATA AND CO (LETS SAY 20K)
✓DAILY NEEDS LIKE TOOTH PASTE, TOILETERIES(LETS SAY 5K)
✓OTHERS (LETS SAY 15K)
SO AFTER SUBTRACTING ALL THESE BASIC NEEDS FROM MY 150K SALARY WHICH IS 100K THEN MY TITHES OFFERING SHOULD BE 5K(WHICH IS THE 10% FROM THE BALANCE OF THE 50K).
As par; when the olden days were earning, they don't make much expenses and all these major expenses are what Man must do to keep up.
SO IN A NUTSHELL OUR TITHES SHOULD BE THE MONEY WE HAVE FROM THE REMINANT OF OUR SALARY EXPENSES.

THANKS AND HAPPY SUNDAY👍

This is exactly what the Bible teaches though tithing is not for Christians!

Me I just don't enjoy the motive of a Person who calls himself/herself man of God living comfortably and still extracting money from poor members who barely put food on their table all in the name of giving tithes
