My advise to those traders is to stop selling anything to the soldiers and their identifiable friends.

This is the only way to maintain the peace.

Nigeria is not destined for progress like this.

Look at what our military generals have turned their selfs to, General without war☹️

Places like Benue, zamfara katsina needs the siege more than a civilian terrain 😔

Two wrongs don't make a right not in a zoo like Nigeria but An eye for an eye settles it all
Compliant:
I see lots of people here supporting the guys that were hitting the soldiers, its just unfortunate.

Reporting the soldiers to the appropriate quarters is a better option

Two wrongs cannot make a right

become chickens...you are the chicken typing nonsense about our gallant soldiers from the comfort of your house. Why don't you join the military, carry guns, and go after the terrorists? Show them how it is done...but you won't because you are a coward. We have soldiers that have died or injured, and some of their wives are widows and children orphans...and here you are typing nonsense.

Namaster:

They lay siege to a civilian settlement but beome chickens when faced with armed criminals.

By the way, where is the lady they KIDNAPPED?

It's only logical that they exit the plaza!
This is primarily a civil matter that didn't necessitate the closure by the army operating under a civil authority!
Kudos to mainstream media outlets like arise tv and other well meaning citizens that used their platform to express their views over this unfortunate incident!
The rest were either playing safe or in support of the tyrannical attitude of our military esp TVC!

Thanks to Peter OBi.
Obi issued a statement last week condemning the military siege. Now the soldiers are scared of being seen in worse light than they have been.

How dare you say that about people whose children has become Fatherless and wife become widows because they're out there with their lives just for you to sleep with your 2 eyes closed.

You can't even withstand physical fight talkless of a gun fight.
You dare sit at the comfort of your house to say this rubbish about people dying for you to get to that comfort.

May Gunmen/Criminals visit you and your family member and may no security force be there to protect you on that day.

Wait until you get the full gist before taking sides!
The army have always been culpable for this level of impunity!
Once you have a disagreement with someone, the person sends some army boys to rough handle you and take you to their barracks!

Imagine a recent incident where a young genz lady was pricing fish with a female trader in the market and from no where there was a back and forth of insults between them...the young lady swore to deal with the fish seller as she was leaving!
1hr later about 4 army guys bundled the fish seller to an unknown destination!
Was released after several pleas from family members who located the barracks where she was taken to!
It was later discovered that the young lady happened to be a girlfriend to one of the army guys that abducted the fish seller!

Or what would you say about an army guy that took scissors to cut off the hairs from a former Nigerian soccer player because he didn't like the hairstyle of the player?

We should stop enabling some of these cowards in uniform who flex their muscles at the sight of civilians and turn to flash or Usain bolt at the mention of bandits or bokoharam!

Our military are cowards who can not even face untrained teenagers with guns.

They should be ashamed of themselves slapping a woman into coma is not military strategy.
