The First two pictures are from local food restaurants and I spent maximum of 1k.
Rice and beans - N500
Spaghetti- N100
Boiled egg - N200
Beef - N200

NB: the meat is under the spag and stew.

The last Two pictures are from standard Eatry restaurants and I spent maximum of 2k

Rice - N600
Fish - N1200
Table water- N200

My opinion: the local rice was okay and I was satisfied and taste More better the eatery own. Also the eatery was okay but too expensive and not pocket friendly.

Blame your state and federal government

The restaurant tried for you, the 'marble' table in their restaurant is not free

Fast food is overrated. It's only good for meetings and "sweet mouth'', not as proper meals

The local food has more variety, a bigger portion, is more filling due to the legume (bean?), and your money will go a long way in making the local foodseller meet his/her financial responsibilities.

If I ask a girl out to a local eatery and she refuse to go because it is low class, its over cool

If you consider rent, electricity, taxes and maintenance costs, of course the eatery will be more expensive but in the end they both make good profits especially if they are located in the right place for their market demand.

Let me burst your bubble:

All are from local restaurants.

It's just that some restaurants are more local than others.

#2K will barely get you a meatpie and a bottle of water at a standard restaurant.

How about she take you out to a place she'd rather eat instead! πŸ™„

A lady will eat in a local eatery because she wants to, and not because you want her to.

If I don't want it, I don't want it. Period!

The meat was so small that I zoomed the picture, but still didn't see it. Tinubu 5 - 0 Nigerians. The stark difference in the picture quality shows why the latter was 1k more expensive than the former. The extra 1k was for the location, better looking plates and packaging overall. It's worth it if you asked me.

Bottle water in the street is 200
When you buy the same bottle water in a hotel it's 1500

Most times you aren't paying for the product, but the environment where the product is being sold..

I hope you understand why the prices aren't the same now

In less than 2 years ago, ₦1k would have prepared the food in both pictures in large quantity (Meaning you get to eat it more than once.)

Definition of
1k no dey last again.
2k no dey last again
10k no dey last again etc.

Instead of the drug baron to bring down prices of food stuffs, he is bringing back old anthem.
Misplaced priority.
