NOA is right and Akpabio is wrong |

I think the Senate president is wrong, he needs to check the official anthem as singed by Mr, president. If he feels something is wrong, he needs to call for the amendment of the law through the official channel. |

bentenny: Engage the public? If every intention of Tinubu's government is taken to approval at the NASS as an Executive Bill, it will not pass, unless the northern side of Nigeria benefits triple times from the Bill more than the two southern regions. The skewed and lopsided political structure of 20 new federal units (states) in the Old Northern region but 17 states in two Southern regions created by northern military dictators, ensures that the number of legislators from the north overwhelms the number of legislators from the two southern regions. |

Who swore for us in this country, imagine what they're arguing over; national anthem that was written by someone else đđ Why not refer to the original anthem which should be in the national museum by the way rather than embarrassing the entire country, attacking our sensibilities |

DeOTR: You know, this demonstrates why a native speaker of a language is still a native speaker. This was written by a native speaker. People like you and Akpabio only know basic English. It takes massive familiarity with a language to grasp poetic and other aspects of it. Chinua or Wole will immediately see that Akpabio just exposed his lack of thorough familiarity with English language |

onuman:According to u,if the president and national assembly members want to pass a 'YES to homosexuality' bill into law,it will simply pass through without the input of the public right? Smh |

This is completely topsy-turvy, there are many of us who had reservations regarding the previous , 'National Anthem', the complaint was that it wasn't patriot to our territorial nations and as such the former National Anthem wasn't patriotic to our continent, whatsoever, and that, it posed a dangerous threat to self-identity. Fast forward to the year 2024, here comes a pocket of nitwts playing politics with people's souls and existences[sic]. In a well-balanced and Africanist world, whoever came up with such a bonkers idea, ought to resign or be relieved of there public office immediately. Everyone and their mom knows that this apology for an Anthem will be rewritten to meet up with the 21st century and will be written in stanzas that are patriotic to our continent and our continent only, and will be written in a way that actually makes better sense to us the African people, and the leaders of tomorrow. God help us from these our politicians that are bent on destruction and chaos of our minds and souls. Absolutely useless. They cant even give us a proper "National Anthem'. 1 Like |

DaddyCoool:And you're sure the NOA version is the certified true copies from the Lady who composed it? Just read the NOA version and tell me what is correct about those phrases. No native speaker will speak such grammar in 2024. |

DeOTR: đ Just amazing. My man, the NOA version has to be the way the lady put it because it is the proper way to put it poetically. "Nigerians all, and proud to serve..." NOT "Nigerians all, are proud to serve..." which actually is grammatically incorrect. Akpabio should have consulted a pro b4 disgracing himself. You and Apkabio went to night school!đ |

Amujale: Actually it demonstrates that Nigerians are open-minded, non-parochial, and non-racist. The anthem was picked by Nigerians after a world-wide competition simply because it was the best. And in my opinion, it is still the best anthem in the world. Good one from fall-down BAT!đ |
