The entire Communities and social cultural groups from Ohaji clan in Imo State have rejected to be included in the proposed new state in South-East which has passed first reading at the Green chamber, being majorly sponsored by a House of Representative member, Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, from Imo State.

Attached are the Letters coming from Ogbako Ohaji and "Awarra Court Area", which represents the Elders and Youth bodies respectively.

Even Anambra communities in the proposed Orlu state, do not agree!

I mean SE is really not large enough given the landmass.

A right thinking person will advocate for Anioma state being an Igbo ethnicity In Delta created for SE OR create new state from ohaji egbema part of Rivers to Etche and obigbo

That orlu state is dead on arrival...nobody wants distraction.

Any additional state for SE must come from Anioma, Adada or ikwerre/obigbo/egbema etc.

Ohaji wants to stay in Imo.
Awarra people are the ones that will prefer Rivers than being carved into Orlu, but are comfortable staying in Imo state.

In this thread we have opinion of Ohaji people and there is no Rivers state in there.

All the 5 federal universities and Polytechnics in Imo state are forced to be located in Owerri. They still forced Imo state university to be located in Owerri.

All the federal housing estates for Imo state were forced to be located in Owerri zone.

All government ministries and paratarals in Imo state are located in Owerri.
Even this year, Owerri dragged the new Federal university teaching hospital for Imo state and got it located in Owerri.

Thats curious to say the least, because, apart from Mbakwe and Ihedioha, the other civilian govs have either come from orlu or okigwe zone. Even the present one. Why did they all allow owerri to monopolise such establishments?

Former gov Emeka Ihedioha from Owerri zone quickly gave orders for Imo state university in Owerri be expanded in Owerri where all the 5 federal universities and Polytechnics in Imo state are located.
All those 5 universities and Polytechnics were in Owerri zone when former gov Evans Enwerem from Owerri zone located Imo state university in Owerri.
