Honestly majority of Igbos are concerned about the insecurity in the Southeast. I am too.

That is part of the reasons we supported Peter Obi to emerge President so that it would douse the tension caused by agitation and politics in Southeast because one of the things fueling Biafra agitation in Southeast and amongst Igbos is the decade long marginalization of Ndigbo by successive Nigerian government since the end of the civil war which has led to neglect of government infrastructures in Southeast, cheating in State creation and several other disadvantages which makes most Igbos fed up of Nigeria.


If Peter Obi had emerged President, only his emergence alone would have doused the tension caused by Biafra agitation, and by now he would have started the process of negotiating with Biafra agitators to let go and embrace Nigeria fully and he would have ensured equal treatment of every Nigerian region, tribe, religion and there wouldn't have been need for agitation by any sect in Nigeria including IPOB. And even if he decides not to release Nnamdi Kanu immediately, Biafra agitators will be assured that Kanu will get a pardon and will lay down their arms and embrace Nigeria fully.


Biafra agitation is fueled by marginalization of Ndigbo in the Nigerian project. If Igbos get a fair treatment in the Nigerian project, believe me, no Igbo will be agitating for Biafra again but will rather put effort towards making Nigeria to work for all Nigerians but in a situation some sections of Nigeria believe that it is their birthright alone to produce President every election year and dictate how Igbos and other minority regions are treated and what they should get, then be rest assured that agitation will continue until such crumbles Nigeria or render Nigeria useless in development.
