Nice, but unfortunately many in this country take their health for granted. Cholera is a food and water borne disease caused by a bacterium,Vibrio Cholerae, which is transmitted by houseflies onto exposed foods and drinks. This pathogen is picked up by houseflies which have perched on faeces and all sorts of dirt and deposited on exposed foods. This disease is very prevalent in places where proper environmental and culinary hygiene is at their extremely lowest level. |
