See, the truth has been said. This is so because of large population and multiple accounts created by Nigerians. Business organizations really prefer facebook to twitter. So very few of them used twitter but 'good guys' know much of these social networking sites and exploit 'em strictly with 'good brains'

It's just a question of numbers. Our large population (with a major proportion in the active youth range) coupled with the rapid adoption of mobile phones with internet-ready functions has contributed to this our constant recurrence in mobile and web apps use globally. Just last week, I read that Nigeria ranked (somewhere among the top 5? I've forgotten) in the most downloads of OperaMini globally. So what's the big deal?

One thing I've discovered is that we are now commonly known for consumption of other countries products. If Nigeria is not mentioned for buying Nokia's 1 billionth phone, then it must be for consuming something else. If we are so many and so technology-savvy, then why can't we be prolific software developers like India, etc. It's not like you need a University degree to master the skill. Maybe it's proper national co-ordination and administration that is lacking. What were those agencies like NITDAN, Science and technology ministries established for anyway? Make we go ahead to dey buy buy and use use. Consume only. No output.

True that.It is our population helping us, but don't forget that the average Nigerian is getting more and more aware about the latest technology. Whether it is 4 serious tins or 4 amebo (both can be done via social networking sites like twitter and facebook).

Why doesen't the top 10 countries correspond with the top 10 most populated countries??, , even look at ''TINY'' Jordan making it to the top
Its about a combination of al lot of factors,  Of which popularity is most important.
