I have been wondering if there is any other profitable fresh water fish farming that can be done in artificial pond or semi natural habitat other than catfish. There are many ads on this forum that is tag fish farming but end up realizing that its catfish farming.
There are other edible and highly demand fish species in the market other than catfish or is it that catfish is easier or less risky to rear than other species of fish.
Please drop your idea if you know of other Fresh water fish or even SALT WATER fish that can be raise in artificial pond and are in high demend and PROFITABLE. I know raising a salt water fish in an artificial enviroment might requires lot of technicality but if got one lets hear it, there is no business without risk.

Tilapia is very fragile and it takes time before they grow.

You can try fingerlings production. it is very lucrative and within a month they are ready for marketing.

All you need to start is a male and two female catfish of about 8months old.

Have you heard of a sea fish called Ede. It is called Agha when it is small. It is common in Ilaje in Ondo state. It is better than catfish unfortunately, I do not know the English name.
