it was the unification decree of May 1966 promulgated by your brother Ironsi, leading to the abolition of regional system of government – Historically speaking, the West and North have always believed in the regional system of government as the best form of government for a multiethnic like Nigeria, however this was taken away by your brother Ironsi when he was the head of state

l learnt he abolished it as a way to appease the Caliphate for the murder of Ahmadu Bello n Balewa in 1966.

The postponement in the creation of Middle Belt region by Ahmadu Bello n Tafewa Balewa who rather announced the creation of Midwest to spite Awolowo and Yoruba in general is also responsible for insecurities in the North today by extention...
