Several protesters on Monday took to the streets in Katsina State, waving the Russian flag and tree leaves.

They were spotted chatting “APC hunger. We are not in support” in their local language. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is the ruling party in Nigeria.

The protesters mostly young people and children kick-started the protest from the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua’s family house at Yar’adua quarters in Katsina and matched through Kofar Durbi street down to the defunct Yar-Kutungu Market, chanting “Hunger is killing us”.

The fresh protest came barely three days after relative peace had returned to the state in the wake of the violence that greeted the first few days of the #EndBadGovernance protests.

But police officers fired tear gas to disperse the protesters. The demonstrations started nationwide on August 1, 2024, and would last for ten days, according to the organisers.

Yourbas again started their Igbo hatred by trending Igbo must go some days ago rather than accepting the fact that the backed a useless candidate.

They had Osibanjo whom I know that Igbos would have voted massively for like they did for obsanjo yet they choose a convicted drug dealer and started blaming Igbos. Now that the north has carried the protest on their head ans are calling for a coup would he send soldiers to go and massacre them?

See what propaganda has caused. Rather than make life better for people, they were there spreading Igbo hatred everywhere.

If Tinubu remains in office till the end of this year it's going to be a miracle.

Most of these northerners are very dull and dumb. What is the significance of waving Russian flag? Is that Russia should come and colonize Nigeria or what?

If they were waving Palestinian, Iraq, Iran or Saudi flag, I could even relate with the link in some way.

Nigeria was in the hands of the North for last 8 years under their so-called Mr. Integrity, see how far they have messed up the country and turned the economy upside down.
