The leadership of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) Southwest has disassociates themselves from the purported youth town hall meeting organized by the Minister of Youth Development Mrs Jemila Ibrahim Bio.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, the National Majority Amb. Adeyelu Damilare said the town hall meeting is nothing but a charade, adding that the youth assembly of Nigeria was intentionally omitted from the said meeting.

“We at the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) Southwest Zone hereby disassociate ourselves from the purported town meeting scheduled to hold in Ondo state tomorrow 6th August, 2024.

We are aware that the Minister of youth is mobilizing just six youths per state to attend the meeting out of the million youths we have in Southwest, let it be on record that whatever is the outcome of the meeting will not reflect the mind of our youths as majority of all youth leaders in Southwest are no well carried along’.

We as well implore the Minister of Youth to take her town hall meeting to the North where youths at currently causing unrest, we also wish to call on the Governor of Ondo State to distance himself from this charade as southwest youths are strongly behind him as this can cause alot of division between the youths of the region as we go to the poll in Ondo state.

We hereby call on the President of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call the Minster of Youth to order, so as not to take our love for Mr President for granted.
