A bloody clash between Aye and Bagger cult groups has claimed no fewer than four lives at different locations in Ughelli, Delta State.

The clash, it was gathered, was caused by an unpaid drug debt in Ughelli North Local Government Area.

It was learnt that the four people killed within 24 hours were members of the Aye and Bagger cult groups.

One of the victims sold a hard drug to a member of his rival cult group without payment, and the cause of recovering his money broke out between them.

The man met his debtor, who belonged to one of the cult groups, requesting his money, and in the process, he was beaten mercilessly.

“In another day, the guy that was beaten saw his debtor in a lonely area, and he immediately opened his head with unidentified objects in retaliation for the previous attack on him.

Pained by the retaliation, both groups mobilised their members against them, and the brutal killings started within the Ughelli metropolis.

“The issues started last Thursday, while the killing began between Saturday and Sunday. Two people were killed at the Okogbe axis of Otovwodo.

The other two were killed around Iwhreko and Ogor Park, respectively, on Sunday morning, and it has been a guerrilla operation between both groups,” a source told journalists.

Videos of the killings sighted by our correspondent revealed victims macheted in the head and other parts of the body lying dead in the pool of their own blood.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Edafe Bright, has yet to speak about the killing.

But a security source in the know of the killings confirmed the incident, saying, “We have only confirmed three.”

Theses are sad set of youth that will abuse the government and yet they fail to improve and manage their lives by learning a trade or be educated and join the educated once to be in life with good fruit of life.

Good for them .

With time we will have less cultism in our midst

What our beloved country has become.

Some people fought and attained independence at the age of some of these (waste of) youths.

They now take pride in material possessions, drug influence, street power and connections.

Meanwhile while all these American ghetto gangsters wannabes are busy chopping theirselves with axes all these people that are suppose to establish institutions that can rehabilitate and give some of these youths a second shot at life will rather loot our economy dry to make sure their wards have the best of education outside the country.

They make interesting (trending) headlines on the news but how many more destinies will be wasted in this country Nigeria.

Very saddening

Drug, cultism and death all go and in hand

Delta government is acting same way Northern Nigeria is acting when boko haram was brewing, same way average/decent Muslims are acting when islamic terrorists hit

If this thing is not nipped in the bud Delta is in no time will become a guerrilla war zone

They didn't make it through cultism please...!

They were simply lucky to survive being killed, and only made it because they smartly joined politics and aligned with the right people.

Remove that key connection, and they would have ended up like those dead idiots above.
