A 58-Year-Old unnamed man has died while embarking on a spiritual dry fasting.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos.

Hundeyin said that the incident happened in the Alagbado axis of the state on Monday at about 6.00 am.

The PPRO said the deceased younger brother, whose name was not also mentioned, reported the incident at the Alagbado Police Division at about 7pm on Monday.

According to him, the younger brother said his brother died while allegedly undergoing 19 days of dry fasting.

Hundeyin said, “No foul play suspected, family demands to convey the corpse for burial.”

Nigerians take things to the extreme back in the days when we hear or watch on tv about people blowing themselves up in countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan etc we marvelled and tell ourselves these can never happen in Nigeria because Nigerians value live.... booom!!, Boko haram happened and all that changed.

Back then we watched foreign movies and each time we hear or see drug scenes and cartels, countries like Colombia, Mexico etc pops up and we be like why are these societies somuch into drugs ......before innocent people like us could bat an eyelid Chinedu is all over the far east, Bola is in control of the west hemisphere pumping narco, hajia salamantu and Ibrahim are swallowing theirs into the middle east in the guise of pilgrimage automatically changing the dynamics completely.

Then came our amazement as we see what presents as strange people openly copulate on our tv screens and we are like ouch! Nigerians are reserved people we can never engage in scenes likes these our culture and morals forbid it....Bang!!!! BBN happened young people openly have sex on life tv shows and the ones not lucky to be called up to participate in the show take it up in public swimming pools and post it for all to see.

Now we are on the lips of every race the world over....you see us be at your utmost alert.

When we fast we should be conscious of our health status

No autopsy done, no further investigation as to the cause of the man's death. Instead Police believed the words of the brother and it became news to show how stupid the police has become.

All in a bid to shift blame from government to Church... The Church has been the hope of common man since the foolish people including policemen have failed in their duty of governance. The agenda now is to turn the common man against the Church which preaches against corrupt practices.

Police officers still standing on the roads and causing nuisance collecting #100 Naira and all sorts of bribery are the ones that will come up with a news like this and people easily jump in to believe them...

there's nothing wrong with fasting but he should have been drinking water and be breaking it with fruits towards evening but anyway wisdom is profitable to direct
