The state of Nigeria is one of despair and hopelessness. A once promising nation, rich in resources and potential, has been brought to its knees by the cancer of corruption, tribalism, and favoritism.

In every corner of the country, the stench of injustice hangs heavy in the air. The powerful few rule with an iron fist, while the rest of the population is left to languish in poverty and misery.

The inflation rate soars, making it impossible for the average Nigerian to afford even the most basic necessities. Prices rise daily, wages stagnate, and hope fades away.

And then there is the president, with his mindless and extravagant spending. While the people suffer, he revels in luxury, squandering the nation's resources with reckless abandon.

Incompetency runs rampant, from the highest levels of government down to the smallest local authorities. Those who are meant to serve the people instead line their own pockets, leaving the country to rot from the inside out.

But perhaps the most heartbreaking aspect of it all is the defeat in the eyes of the Nigerian people. They have been beaten down, time and time again, by a system that seems designed to keep them down.

The Nigerian spirit, once strong and resilient, is now fractured and weak. The people cry out for change, for justice, for a chance at a better future. But their voices are drowned out by the deafening roar of corruption and greed.

It is a sorrowful tale, the story of Nigeria. A once great nation brought to its knees by the very people who were meant to lift it up. And until something changes, until the tide of corruption is stemmed, the people of Nigeria will continue to suffer in silence, defeated and broken.

Nigerians are the problem.. we are just too dishonest yet claim to be religious. I really don't know the purpose of all these pastors, imams etc. when corruption is killing Nigeria.

What a white man will see and fix, a black man will see, look and pass, then after several years, they'll come out to start complaining.

The recent expose on Nigerian Senators over 21 million naira monthly take home made me understand how likes of Dino Melaye could afford luxury cars and lifestyle. They pocket monies meant for project and infrastructure in their constituency while their people continue in poverty and untold hardship. Only God knows what someone like Abaribe has amassed for decades while Abia State is nothing to write home about.

Selfishness and greediness runs in our DNA.

The name Ngbede is actually an idoma name from Benue State.
The only thing that needs to change is the mindset of the average Nigerian.
The average Nigerian always seem to justify themselves like they are saints and want change but the stark reality of Nigeria is that most people (not everyone) is looking for an opportunity to rip others for his own gain, we see it in daily transactions between the common Nigerians, the fact that Nigeria is littered with celebrated online scammers is a testament to that, that's why corruption roars louder than the truth, out of every 10 Nigerian, u will struggle to find just 2 that stands wholesomely for uprightness no matter the conditions, a society burdened with these kind of people in their millions will NEVER be successful.

Ngbede look at ur Benue society and tell me what I'm saying is not true.

The oppressed are simply oppressors without opportunity to oppress.

Treasure17post=131642381:

Selfishness and greediness runs in our DNA.

It's not about selfishness and greed.
Nobody believes in this country.
People make sacrifices for the things they love.
Nigeria is just a name the privileged ones use to deceive the hoi polloi.

Nigeria is too disjointed and convoluted to work as one country. Everyone is just cashing out while the joke lasts.
