White fuel doesn’t make sense in a place like 9ja. When water contamination happens in the filling stations tanks how would u know? 🤔

If your car was built after 2010, it will be compatible with E10 fuel.

If it was built between 2000 and 2010, it will likely run on E10 fuel.

However, there are some exceptions, including models from major brands like Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes.

As your main post now says, dangote is producing E5 fuel.

So safe.

If you drive a BMW or Benz or Passat be rest assured that your car will consistently give you issues with dangote fuel. E10 fuel is labeled in filling stations abroad and sold at lower prices compared to other fuels because E10 based fuel burns faster and gradually destroys your fuel pump and filter. Nice job OP.

Why Dangote Refinery Petrol Is White And It's Disadvantages

The white coloured petrol is believed to be blended with ethanol.. popularly call E10 petrol....Bearing in mind that:

Some cars cannot use E10 petrol...If your car was built after 2010, it will be compatible with E10 fuel. If it was built between 2000 and 2010, it will likely run on E10 fuel. However, there are some exceptions, including models from major brands like Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes.

We all love to drive our vehicles. We love them because they are always there for us.
Well, it’s our responsibility to take care of them also. The high-quality of fuel that we use keeps our vehicles in a good condition. Right kind of fuel can help you to eliminate extra costs such as equipment damage and mileage problems. Nowadays, a lot of vehicles are getting E10 fuel, which may not be the thing that your vehicle needs.
Here are some reasons why E10 fuel may not be good for your vehicle:

‍Hampers mileage! - Use of ethanol can be the reason for mileage loss. It is because ethanol (E10 fuel) molecule contains less energy value than petrol. This is the reason why have less energy potential, which hampers the mileage.
‍Water content not good for your vehicle! - Pure ethanol absorbs water from the atmosphere around it. Well, it attracts so much that it is impossible for chemical producers to sell 100% pure ethanol as there will always be a little bit of water content in it. From on-road vehicles to marine users, the attraction of water is a huge problem. It happens because when water mounts up in a fuel tank, it settles down to a lot of fuel problems and issues.

‍Different layers of petrol and ethanol! - The layer of ethanol gets separated from the petrol, which results in two different kinds of layers of different compounds. Ideally, it should be a homogenous mixture of both petrol and ethanol.

‍Performance issues! - A loss of 2-4 octane points in the fuel mixture caused when petrol separates from ethanol. Well, this causes performance issues and is very unsatisfactory for most vehicles.

The probability of equipment damage - The blend of ethanol and water blend gets settled at the foot of the tank, where the fuel line exists. The fuel line can very easily suck the mixture of water and ethanol up into the combustion chamber.

In such a scenario it will burn like an excessively lean mixture, which won’t have enough petrol. Burning such fuel can be the reason for valve damage.

In the endeavour of going green, many vehicle users face problems because of the use of ethanol in their vehicles. It is good that we are concerned about the environment, but it is also true that it can be very discomforting for the users and damaging for the vehicles. Hence, there must be some other alternative to it, which can be environment-friendly and vehicle friendly at the same time.

E10 is already widely used in countries such as the United States, Australia and across Europe. It has been used in the U.S. for decades and now makes up the vast majority of gas sold in the country

Where are you devilish guys getting this E10 nomenclature from again? Dangote specifically mentioned that the fuel from his refinery was Euro 5 and that was the highest grade of fuel in the market.

All these haters have left the story of the refinery being a scam to that it will never work, they are now trying to target the quality of the fuel? Una non de tire?

Very pathetic folks.

Many of the same folks who were claiming that the refinery does not exist are now gathering again to lie against the product.

IF Dangote decides to be as vindictive as that sachet tomatoes man, they will start claiming that the rich are oppressing the poor.

There is nothing useless in expressing concerns. It is for people to get enlightened.
I wrote here sometime back of how I bought diesel, very clear, clean looking diesel, unlike the dirty coloured ones we were used to in naija. I bought a full tank around 11pm. The next morning, left by 4.30am and I had barely driven 20km when my injector light started flashing. On Lagos- ibadan Expressway I had to turn back.
My tank was drained, it was very clean, that was when I saw the diesel was not the usual dirty type we buy in naija. I found out it was from Dangote refinary. It was months later we heard the controversy of high sulphur content when that gov official supporting importation accused Dangote of high sulphur fuel.
Forget how much I spent, infact after changing nozzles it did not work, some started saying brainbox, some said to change the engine and injectors to manual one. I told them to stop. Bottomline, I had to import a vehicle specific obd cable from China to diagnose the issue. It was still injectors. It was fixed at great cost. Took over a month. Lots of money lost and business cancelled, all because I filled my tank with faulty diesel.
I even had to order service parts from UK at great cost to fix the vehicle.
On the positive side, Dangote is a country saver, but he has to endeavour to give quality fuel.
