Just read a fascinating article about the glory days of the Benin Empire. Her walls stood four times as tall as the Great Wall of China. That's 20 metres!

But, as part of its conquest of this great civilization, the British Empire blew up those walls and looted the Kingdom's antiquities.

The disregard for the preservation of history.
The flagrant manipulation of a people's story.
Think of the billions of Tourism dollars we could never earn (like China).

why is there no picture of the said wall or its remnants whereass there are pictures of the expedition. The same British were in admiration of the arts they saw that they had to steal it. If the wall was what you are claiming why didnt they take pictures of it?

The wall of china is still visible till date. Stop overhyping this una mud fence abeg

Some parts of the kano ancient walls are still in existence despite the British bombing some of it. Where are the remnants of the Benin wall The only thing i have seen is a mud hill
