2 Ways To Recover The Loss Property Of Your Deceased Relatives by DeDonniesHomes: 5:21pm On Oct 04, 2024 |
Some years back, this man took his wife to a neighborhood around, when they got to a newly built property, he told her that it's their new home. He's been on that project for sometime but kept it a secret because he wanted to surprise her. There are several similar projects lying fallow in several Nigerian communities. The owners of many of those properties are no more. But unfortunately, no friend or relative is aware of those projects. Some of those projects have been lying fallow for 10 - 20 years and no one is coming forward to claim them. Some criminal minded people, end up claiming, completing and taking over ownership of those properties. HOW CAN YOU TRACE AND CLAIM THEM? 1. Start by searching thoroughly the place where your relatives kept their valuable documents. 2. If you find a property document among, checkout for the survey plan and get a registered surveyor to help you read or interpret the co-ordinates. That's the easiest way to locate their properties. 3. Unfortunately, most property buyers in Nigeria do not have proper documentation. But if you find a Deed of Assignment or just an agreement paper or receipt, you can trace the address on it (start your investigation from there). 4. Finally, if you find several building-material receipts in his closet (and he is not into properties - PROPERTY AGENT, SURVEYOR, ARCHITECT, etc.) he might have a property somewhere. Start by calling the numbers on the receipts, ask his closest friends, some of his relatives, or workers. You might get a hint from there. Don't forget to thread with utmost caution. You never can tell if you are asking the person who took possession of his property. Bye for now |
