You de deceive yourself, you will wait till eternity and nothing like that will happen. It shows even the followers of Tinubu are ignorant of economic systems

You comment is far more ignorant than what he said. When you criticize something do it on the basis of available facts not on emotion or party and tribal affiliation.

What business does the man even do? The supermarket he was running in the UK flopped, the only other business is one super market in Abuja, there are very many ordinary folks who own supermarket, so not exactly a spectacular business model. What exactly is his business if I may ask?

Obi who you call a daft illiterate is an international business man, former governor and a billionaire. What about you? You're wretched and living in a one room apartment, struggling to survive. This shows that you're worse than a daft illiterate.

What he proposed would have been a death knell for the Economy. We would have joined the league of Venezuela and Zimbabwe.
Tinubu will be vindicated eventually for taking necessary but difficult decisions avoided by previous administrations.

Buhari was borrowing mostly to build railways and infrastructure, even then the economy took a hit, but lamba king is proposing that we borrow money and then start using the money to defend the naira. What then happens when the money finishes?

Abeg if na this kind man wan be president, make Buhari come back instead;

Tinubu's reforms are bold and only few people have the courage to do something like this.

His “business” is scamming the public into thinking he’s a Messiah.

He wants to become president and DESTROY the country, so that IPOB can pat his round head.

That’s why he said he wants a “religious war” in the country maybe after TANKING the economy with his Onitsha market Economics of borrowing dollars to stabilise the Naira.

Borrowing money at interest to defend the naira ?

Obi has shown with that statement that he is more interested in sustaining an unsustainable import based economy, since an artificially propped naira will benefit only importers like himself.

How sustainable is this?

How can an import based economy provide jobs and enhance local production ?

Will this not lead to more trade deficit and turn Nigeria to a dumping ground and stifle local industries? And in no due time see to dwindling of FX earnings ?

Someone rightly said here that Obi is not a businessman but a mere trader. He was right.

Another poster here once related how Shagari's govt on the urging of Alex Ekweme liberalised importation in the 80s by lifting the ban on importing certain products produced locally and how that dissatrous policy saw to many local companies struggling.

I have said it here that the SE business model of importation has done a lot of damage to our local industrial base.

This is the same Obi that has been telling us he wants to move Nigeria's economy from consumption to production but here he is now promoting more importation by defending the naira through borrowed FX?

Lol. Talk about the daft one that has tanked everything.

Ordinary trader masquerading as an economist!

Tinubu is doing the right thing! We can't continue subsidising the exchange rate with money meant for development; subsidisation regime must come to an end.

Electricity, exchange rate, Pilgrimage, and petrol subsidies must go; if government wants to subsidise, it should be basic things like food, education, and shelter

Do you know how much Tinubu has borrowed yet nothing to show for it.if you borrowed to support the Naira, let say exchange rate comes to 800 naira.if you sell crude to Dangote at 800 per$ Pms will be sold at 400 and diesel about 500,kerosene about 500 naira that alone has brought alot of succour to Nigerians. Secondly many manufacturing company will do well and create employment, thirdly you increase tax on imported goods and reduced tax on exportating goods. With this singular act Nigerian problems are solved by 50%

The only pain he has is that he can't corner all Nigeria's resources to his Igbo ethnic group alone and build a war chest full of money to break out biafra, that is the only thing paining Mr. Obi.. all the nonsense the ol0do is writing are meaningless.

I think borrowing money to save money isnt a smart move.
If I was the president, I'll do the same thing that Tinubu did but I won't implement all the policies at once, he was heartless in executing these policies but it's the best policies, punishment that we are suppose to suffer for 10yrs, Tinubu is making us suffer everything in 4yrs, that is not a wise thing to do, but it's still better than using money to save money

Borrowing to defend the Naira is a smart move. You can borrow to keep the Naira even as you simultaneously fix the economy (refineries). That's the smartest thing to keep Nigerians alive/afloat.

Tinubu has borrowed more money in the last 12 months than any past government has ever done in 42 months. To what end? A fraudulent "man know man" coastal road contract that cost over a trillion naira? Yatch? Private jet? Vice presidential villa? Bags of rice? 🤣

Let this sink in again:
Tinubu is not defending the Naira
Tinubu is not paying subsidy on petrol
But Tinubu is taking loans faster than a Palmpay addict.

Jesus, do u even know what is going on in Nigeria abi u just felt like defending a politician? What we are suffering is depreciation of the local currency, and one of the reason why a currency goes through depreciation is accumulation of external debt.

You think borrowing and incurring more debt is the best solution?
Sometimes it's better to understand the problem before defending our politicians.

Why is Tinubu borrowing aggressively like a palmpay addict? Just 3 days ago, he borrowed $6.4 billion from the Word Bank. Under 1 year, he has also borrowed over 20 trillion Naira from domestic investors. Another 2.9 trillion Naira loan from the CBN was obtained before May. Are you still against loans?
