Who really knows the difference?

Okay, wait, let me break it down for you! Because some of you see a job posting with these titles and think, "Yes! That's for me!"—without really knowing what you're getting into.

Let’s clear things up, shall we?

Customer Service: This is your frontline. It's all about helping customers with questions or issues as they arise. Think of it like putting out small fires —making sure customers leave with a smile and a solution!

Customer Support: A bit more technical 🛠️. Here, you're the expert troubleshooting problems, guiding users through the complex parts of a product, and solving their tech headaches. Think of it as the friend who knows exactly which wire to jiggle when the Wi-Fi is down.

Customer Experience (CX): The big picture! It’s about how customers perceive the brand from start to finish. From the first click on your website to post-purchase follow-ups, CX covers every touchpoint. It's like setting the stage and creating a lasting impression that makes customers want to keep coming back!

Customer Success: The proactive approach. It's about ensuring customers achieve their goals with your product or service. If Customer Support fixes problems, Customer Success prevents them from happening. You're like a coach, guiding customers to victory!

I remembered being asked the difference between Customer service and customer care in an interview

Customer Service deals with fixing Customer issues I.e providing service while customer care is the overall customer satisfaction derived by building long lasting relationship with the customer

Most organisations in Nigeria incorporate the aforementioned into one entity. Thereby rendering the whole idea almost useless. Leaving customers dissatisfied wit the services. A simple case of "jack of all trade, master of non"

Customer success associates and customer success managers are sometimes the same thing depending on the company.

Gtb customer support only good on paper, they make promises they can't keep , always too eager to tell you " all our customer support representative are very busy".
