Cross River State Governor, Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has presented the 2025 budget proposal amounting to N498 billion, titled “Budget of Sustainable Growth,” News360 Nigeria reports.

This budget emphasizes capital projects, reflecting the state’s commitment to long-term economic development and infrastructure enhancement.

Capital expenditure, which dominates the budget with an allocation of N328 billion (66% of the total), is geared towards major infrastructure projects designed to stimulate economic growth and enhance living standards.

Meanwhile, N170 billion (34%) is earmarked for recurrent expenditure, aimed at supporting the functioning of government institutions, staff salaries, and other essential public services.

As the budget proposal heads to the legislature, more detailed allocations and specific projects are expected to be disclosed.

Governor Otu’s 2025 budget underscores his administration’s dedication to sustainable growth and development across Cross River State, marking a strategic step toward economic consolidation.

Cross River state has always been blessed with presidential Learned Governors who comport themselves in an organises fashion, unlike one south south state that keeps producing Thugs as Governors and dsiturbing the peace of the entire country.

Every year each arm of government and government at all levels prepares a budget without taking into consideration if the former budget was executed or not

This one don tag am ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth’ while another Governor tag him own ‘Next level bla bla’ yet we nor Dey see the effect. Speaker and other principal officers just Dey smile as dem Dey reason aw dem wan go stash their individual percentage. Governors dem suppose Dey use ogun for swearing in not Bible. So once dem loose guard 2 secs e don strike!!
