In professional leagues, play doesn't need to be interrupted when rain starts, except it is abnormally heavy.

There is supposed to be a lightning tower or mast which is designed to be the point of focus for lightning.

That field above clearly doesn't have such a provision hence play should have been stopped immediately.

Up till now, many young lads still play in open fields during light showers thinking they are having fun...! SMH!!!
