The terminals of my 75 amp battery was erronueosly connected to the terminals of a 10KVA generator. There was a spark before the terminals were changed. How will it affect my car battery? Can it work properly again?

I don't mind buying a new battery but please I need honest opinions if it will still work properly, retaining voltage with continuous usage?

The best thing you can do is disconnect it from the generator, connect it back to the car and try if it will work. I believe the car and generator are in the same location so it shouldn't take you up to 15 minutes to confirm. My humble opinion

I connected to my car and it cranked immediately. I am concerned about it retaining voltage with continuous usage.

I don't think you need to worry about it retaining voltage. As long as the alternator works well, there shouldn't be a problem. The only issue is that many people that sell batteries are very dishonest and sell refurbished batteries claiming they are new so a battery that's meant to last for five years or more might start losing voltage after two years.

Which grease monkey do that?

Battery will sparky spark, it is the generator you should worry about.

Those things have color and terminals marked.

Thanks Sultan. Have you had an experience of wrong battery connections before. Seriously the generator didn't have positive or negative terminal clearly marked.
